That’s how I’m using it. It’s a comfortable topper (for me anyway; I prefer firm beds). It’s a little bigger than my full-sized futon, but that’s not a problem. A fitted sheet goes over it well.

How thick/tall is this shikibuton//what is the height of this futon?

It is about 2.5 to 3 inches thick. Our futons are compressed and shipped. There is a slight difference in thickness depending on the compression time. Thank you for your understanding.
