Helps to install the blades properly...
Heavy duty, and a bit loud, but really throws the air. We were already satisfied when I discovered that the speeds start low>medium>high (most fans start at high) and I only pulled the chain once. It had 2 more settings to go. At least one other review complains about the lack of air movement, but if you look at the pictures, they have the blades backwards.

Wow...great quality and moves lots of air
This is a great piece of equipment. The fan is built like a tank, everything metal, and built solid. Some minor assembly was required but fit on everything was perfect and assembly easy. Mounting was similarly easy and solid because the design was actually thought through. Finally, this fan moves air, really moves air...a crazy amount of air even at the lowest setting. Turned all the way up my home gym takes an hurricane characteristics. The fan is not silent, but for the amount of air moved it is also not that loud. Overall, extremely pleased with this product great fan...if I need another fan it will be another Tornado 🌀.

Not working? Flip the fan blades around!
This is going to sound like a really dumb mistake...but after putting this together (5 minutes and a phillips screwdriver) this thing moved hardly any air at all. I was SUPER disappointed. However, it was moving SOME air. I figured if I had the blades on facing the wrong way it wouldn't move any air, or maybe it would blow backwards? WRONG.You want the set screw on the fan hub TOWARDS the motor. Its harder to assemble this way and it seems like it wouldn't make a difference, but IT DOES! It went from a steaming pile of garbage to....well, a tornado!Likes:-Moves a lot of air-Seems well built-Oscillates properly-Makes my garage feel significantly cooler!Dislikes:-The only way to turn oscillation on/off is a knob on the top of the motor. I mounted the fan up high so it would be out of the way and move air around unobstructed. At over 6ft tall, I still need a step stool to turn oscillation on/off. I've decided to leave it on.-The cord could be a few feet longer, but I knew this when purchasing-Not the quietest thing out there, but its an industrial type fan... Its not an annoying tone though, can be tuned out easily enough, and if you have a radio going I forget its even on.- 3 speeds seem like medium, high, and higher? A lower setting would have been nice as there's not a huge difference between the 3 speeds. For the sub ~$100 price, I don't think you can beat it. I would absolutely recommend it.

Old school works great
The media could not be loaded. The people who complained about the CFM MUST have installed the blade wrong. The blade needs to be installed with the set screw on the underside AND on the flat of the shaft. If you put the blade on with the set screw facing you (which is easier to tighten) you will have little to no flow. I didn't read the instructions so my label is not facing the right way but then again I ended up mounting mine upside down (on purpose) anyway. My only complaint is that the mount has horizontal holes for stability and for me on a block wall its great but if I were to mount this to a wall stud I would be drilling vertical holes in the center of the round mounting bracket. Well built old GE type knockoff that blows a ton of air even on low. Cost to run around the clock at .14 cents per KWH is about $10 a month.

Great Garage/workshop fan
My garage is also my mancave. I have a bar out there some chairs TV etc... But it's a garage so it's hot humid etc. I had a few pedestal fans over the years out there to circulate the air so that the recliners don't get mildewy smelling etc from being in a garage. Someone suggested I get a wall fan an industrial style with three blades so I ordered this one. I used a Piece of birch to mount it where I needed it, since it was in between the wall studs. Now on day like today where it rainy, running it on low the air is circulating throughout entire garage where I mounted it. Being that it's an industrial fan it's louder than the pedestal fans I had. That is the only thing I can say about it. Also I didn't get a remote an this review asked me about that so I'm gonna look into seeing if I was supposed to get one. If not no big deal. But it works an moves so much more air that it's worth it. I may order another on for my soon to be enclosed deck.

All bark, no bite
Was really excited to put this fan up in my garage to help with heat, and to hopefully reduce the mosquitoes. During the unboxing and mounting I felt confident this was a good purchase - feels like a quality fan: sturdy materials, looks good, sturdy on the mount. Then I turned it on...First thing I noticed is that is is extremely noisy, even on the lowest setting. Then I realized it has terrible output for air. I saw another review that said something to the effect of 'won't blow out a candle at 3 feet' - while I didn't do a candle test myself, this seriously sounds accurate. You can't even feel the air unless you are immediately in front of it. It was so weak that I though I might have installed the blades backwards. So I took it apart to make sure - nope, it's just terrible. Returning it.

Mounted on our covered deck! This thing is sweet! It has worked so good through this Georgia heat and humidity!

Perfect fan for a three car garage
I was looking to get the air moving in a hot garage while I'm working on my cars and this fan has proved to be perfect.Assembly and mounting was very straightforward and easy - had it ready to go in 15-20 minutes.I mounted it high near a 10 foot ceiling roughly centered on one wall of the garage. I love the oscillating function, it moves plenty of air even on the lowest setting. The lowest speed is roughly equivalent to the highest speed on a normal house box fan. The air can be felt 15-20 feet away. The pull chain length is perfect for me to reach but not by young children. Construction is good and operation is smooth and fairly quiet. So far it's well worth the money!
