Bohning 801009MD Medium Slip On Arm, Black

I bought this after coming home from the archery range with a nice bruised forearm, but lets face it, if we were holding the bow correctly and had proper form we wouldn't even need this. I am 6'1" avg build and I ordered this in a size medium. The biggest worry about ordering this was making sure I got the size correct and the medium fits great. It goes on easy and as long as the strip is lined up right it should protect the arm from and string slap. I have used this a couple times now, under a long sleeve shirt and it certainly helps protect my arms. I see reviews where people say it doesn't do enough to protect your arms, but I don't have any issue with it. This is very slim and breathable, its not bulky, If you're not wanting to wear thick padding or uncomfortable leather arm guard this certainly does the job. This product was also reasonably priced and arrive very quickly. Also, I shoot left handed so the company writing/logo is upside down when i shoot.

I bought these for my kids, age range 10-13. I ordered all smalls and they fit perfectly, I am an adult and I can fit in the small as well. I did also order a medium and it works for me and my 13 year old as well. I love that there are no straps and the little plastic line in it protects from the string striking them.

I did not receive what’s pictured. I got a sleeve with super cheapo screen printing on the side that’s already wearing off after the first use. That said….it serves its purpose and is way more comfortable than the bulky, overbuilt arm guards with straps and buckles. I rarely slap my forearm with the bow string anymore…but it’s a nice to have just in case.

Its okay but I expected to receive what’s shown in the photos. That is not what I got and that was a little disappointing.

I am a USA Archery Instructor / trainer and have a bunch of students that are new to the sport in all ages, elementary through adult. I teach both traditional archery and compound bow shooting, and I must say these slip on guards are the best. They last long are comfortable, fit a wide span of people ( however I do carry all sizes). I would highly recommend these for both experience and new archers, they work

Even though it is black, it seems very breathable. This provides very low profile protection. Probably not the best armguard for a beginner who has not learned the proper grip and elbow angle, but if you are experienced and are not actually thwacking your forearm with every shot, this is very nice. Pricey for the little bit of material that is there but all in all, it will be worth it if it holds up. Unlike many models with adjustable straps, I don't think it will need a whole lot of adjustment during a training session or a tournament.

The thicker material helped with bruising of my arm. Would like it to be a little thicker yet.

I bought this so I could wear it underneath a light jacket or hoodie and not worry about it cathcing the seelve if I took the jacket off. For that purpose, the armgaurd worked well. That is its only redeming factor though, it did little else to meet my expectations.The sleeve appears to be of uniform width from wrist to elbow, and since I do have some muscles in my arm, its fit is uncomfortable to say the least. The worst thing about it is the little, tiny patch of rubber that is supposed to protect your arm from the string. It is so small and thin that you might as well not have anything, even through my jacket and the guard when the string hit my arm it felt like it was bare.Lesson learned, bought a hard shell guard from the local sports store and have not had any trouble since.
