Worked better than most of the chain breakers that I've bought in the past, the teeth didn't grab the chain quite tight enough so the chain wanted to flip on me so you might have to hold the chain with a clamp or your hand. Better than the old school way for sure.

During a pre-trip inspection I noticed my chain drive for my slide looked weird. A link had metal fatigue and started to come apart. This tool was perfect. The clamp was solid, and it pushed the pins out so I could install a master link with clip. This is now a permanent onboard tool for when I go camping. It would have been very bad if this link had broken during a trip.

Opening the jaws to get the chain in and out of the breaker is a little awkward, but once in place the pin presses out easily. The long handle provides great leverage.

Attempted to use on a #50 chain -- tried on two different links -- simply does not push out the pin sufficiently, and also damages the chain, rendering it unusable.

Says it works on a 520 chain… it did for two times before the third it shattered the pin bit on the tool. The other complaint is the rod handle falls out of the tool. It’s supposed to be pressed but it comes right out while using it. Maybe needs glue to hold it in. Super light duty, works for maybe a chain or two to get a job done. Not a forever tool and certainly not for those doing many. It’s cheaply priced and you certainly get what you pay for.
