Oh man this brings back so many great memories from my childhood, it's a genuinely great console version, and it plays very fluidly.

IF YOU ARE NOT A MECHWARRIOR FAN:There is a very steep learning curve that will take a long time to get used to. The system is very complex, often requiring you to press four or five buttons simultaneously while moving and firing, but after a lot of practice you'll find that this is a very fast, very intense, very demanding game that is ultimately rewarding when you become a skilled pilot.Compared to other games, this is like piloting a jet fighter on legs: some 'Mechs can travel at 120 KPH, some at 65 KPH, all with an arsenal containing at least 4 different weapons. The lightest uses about 5 weapons, the heaviest about 20. Here's what to expect during typical gameplay:1. Startup, scan, determine enemies, check objectives, plot course, increase throttle2. Basically, this is a great game to put on the old home computer: about 100 MB large, very low system requirements, but a whole lot of fun that you will get a lot of usage out of.
