The holder is solid metal, not painted, so there are no worries about scratches. I have stored it using my clipboard's clip with no ill effects. Unlike cheaper ones, the clip system and lanyard do not get twisted and flipped. Very happy with the look and performance.

Very good product; the aluminum part is excellent, but the plastic part broke after only a short time of use. I've used it for several years and it has held up, but I had to replace the broken part with a metal one.

I work in a place that uses rfid cards for our doors, glove vending, time clocks, and most of the equipment. I was issues a card a while back ago but my position causes me to move my body alot and I smack my hips into the table next to me alot and that's where I fixed my rfid badge. My first card, unprotected, got mangled and stopped reading, thus I couldn't get gloves, clock in, or even enter the building.... I bought this thinking that I'd have to order a few cause they were so cheap, but I was wrong. I only got one and that was like 3 months ago, I'm still smacking my hips and pinning my badge but this frame keeps sturdy and my card is still flush flat thanks to this frame. From an industrial employee, this thing is the save all and I 100% endorse it. Now, I have scratched the frame, that will happen of you work like I do, but with every small scratch I remember that each scratch could have been a bend or a crack. This is the badge shield we all need. This frame will save your badge and save your job.

If you have an access badge it causes the badge reader to be unable to read your badge. Had to fully take my badge out of the case to badge in. Great quality other than that.

I have tried several plastic badge holders and none of them lasted. This aluminum frame badge holder is great. It is not bulky or heavy so you barely notice it, but it is sturdy and stands up to drops and kicks really well. I have been using this for a while and it still looks like new.
