Lovely looking stair gate, better than the bog standard white ones. Good quality product too, not too flimsy.

The pictures provided are misleading, the gate doesn’t look the same. It is not wood!I initiated a return as I’m not happy with the quality. I’m waiting for three days now for the courier to collect the item. Every day Amazon shows unsuccessful collection but no once even showed up to collect.

I had a really nice wooden gate from Safety 1st and was looking to replace it with a new one. Sadly, this is not the same at all, it is much chunkier and doesn’t look like wood at all, it looks like it is made of plastic. I’m not sure what wood it is, but not one I have seen before! It doesn’t suit our house and isn’t as described, so unfortunately I will be sending it back.

They do the job well - we’ve had three of this version for 15 months now and they’re as good as stair gates can be. We had the old version which were wood for our first born, they broke after a couple of years use (kept them on longer as we have dogs etc) so we needed new ones for our second born. These are more durable than the old version despite harsher use as our six year old isn’t exactly gentle and climbs over them (obviously this isn’t condoned). They aren’t as pretty as the previous version as they’re plastic rather than wood but they do the job well and still preferable to those awful white ones in appearance and less harsh in a living space than black or anthracite ones. They also seem to be a bit taller, have a wider opening space than many too - so that our toddler can’t climb over them but she has tried on our friends which seemed shorter. They also don’t mark our solid oak staircase which was my husband’s concern with any, he also said they’re easy to install, fit across our stairs and in the doorways. I’d recommend them and I’d buy them again. Four stars as they could be a bit prettier - but for that price I don’t think you can complain as they’re decent enough.

The gate is not as show it is not made of wood and doesn't even look like wood its plastic and looks it.

Sturdy easy to assemble but disappointed as it looks plastic rather than wood.

Product states it is “wooden”. Does not match the picture as advertised or the picture on the box. Gate works fine but is slightly flimsy.

Says this is a wooden gate in the description and on the box however, this is not wooden and does not look like the images. It is a mushroom coloured plastic like material. Awful.
