Definitely recommend, great knife.
Very solid knife and not to heavy. Hard to open when you first get it but it loosens up. Blade is super sharp and stays that way. Definitely recommend.

Freaking Awesome Knife!!
Okay way impressed!!! Sweet knife... Sweet Price ... Not much more to say! Other than it's obviously has the quality trademark of Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife it's high Carbon Steel, Easily Opened with One Hand, Belt Clip, and Tweezers and Toothpick which really come in handy ... It's Quite Another Amazing Knife from An Amazing Company in Switzerland ... Where Quality and the Name Victorinox mean the Same thing

Worth every penny
Excellent!!! Razor sharp, light and excellent locking mechanism. Swiss made. I have no problems at all being it stiff to open.

Lightweight. Stiff lock.
Quirky comfortable knife with a left hand liner lock that is super stiff - not a bad thing but definitely not fidgety. Lightweight and a sharp blade (ask my thumb while wiping off pivot lube). I carry a small SAK Alox cadet in my wallet and it doesn’t have the toothpick. The Sentinel does and has a locking blade so perfect to edc them both. Has a little vertical play when deployed. Not horrible and similar to my SAK Ranger in that way. Wish it had the same style unlock as the Ranger where you push the ‘shield’ to unlock the blade. If Victorinox does that in this size knife I am buying! Good value for money and definitely different compared to a lot of other folders.

Nice !
Nice pocketknife. Good quality materials used. The blade was sharp enough for me of the box. To me , the locking mechanics call for two hands which is ok with me. The handles are made of that”mystery substance” that Swiss Army knives are known for , but , this “mystery substance” doesn’t show scratches . The knife seems to lock into position nicely and the handle size allows for a good grip when cutting. This one is the first with the clip , so that remains to be seen. I have one with out the clip and that’s held up well. Rate it about 4.5

Its very light, yet durable, and extremely useful
Its very light, yet extremely durable, and extremely useful multitool. Its lockback release action is backwards from all other manufactures, yet is superior for this type, and easily usable single handed, right or left, with practice. It is safer, more secure than other lockbacks of this type. It is highly corrosion resistant. The blade design is exceptionally usable for all common tasks and more. I use the tweezers and toothpick tools regularly. I wear mine clipped over a belt loop. Leaves me pockets open for large folding combat knifes and a small hatchet I can draw throw and carve with. Leaves my belt open for clipping dog to, carrying canteen, or foraging bag or tomahawk whatever. Clip a tiny thumb squeeze LED light to it and its even more useful. I lost first one moving, ordered another as soon as I could a year later.

Nice knife that requires a lot of focus
First off, I did not buy the Sentinel to fill a specific purpose (find that often with SAKs, but they are fun to collect) as the purchase was guided more by the price and idea of a one-handed single blade large Swiss Army Knife. Looking back I should have just been happy with the Swiss Soldier. Second, the scales are overly smooth in my opinion. The Soldier scales have a bit of grip that help in handling. The Sentinel is stiff to open to begin with but throw in a bit of slipping and you start to focus pretty tight on every aspect of opening the knife. At the start of opening since the handle is somewhat small and slippery I start to worry about my fingers sliding around to the opening area and the knife springing shut as it is so tight. Third, like others have mentioned, the locking mechanism takes focus to manage. You know when it is locked by the pronounced “click” it makes, but single handed closing is either difficult or dangerous. It might need breaking in or getting used to as others suggested. I might add some grip tape to see if that helps or just keep opening it 2 handed. Otherwise, I do like the profile and weight (or lack of). The positive “click” the Sentinel makes when locking is also reassuring and the tight tolerances that SAKs have almost make this feel like a solid blade rather than a folding knife. Just my opinion, unless you really need or must have a single blade, “one-handed” opening, SAK - I would skip this one and get something else.

Everyday Carry
I love this knife. I've bought 3 or 4 of them over many years. I have lost a couple of them, mainly my fault. The clip can bend and become loose. Everyday carry for me and the steel is amazing. I really use this knife and after a good sharpen its razor sharp again. There are some cheap steel knifes out there that you can get razor sharp, but they don't hold the edge at all. This one holds an edge very well. Highly recommend for people that use a knife daily and want something well built. It's well priced and worth every cent IMO.
