It does protect the baby's back, and the back of the baby's head, but I don't get a lot of use out of this. It is also made well, and looks even cuter than the picture.However, the baby hates wearing it, and it is easy for the baby to loosen the straps. The straps also dig into the baby's arms/shoulders in an uncomfortable way, making the baby reluctant to crawl. The only way to prevent the straps from bothering the baby, is to loosen the straps to a point that makes the product useless.So the concept is great, but the product needs to be redesigned a bit. I think a waist strap that the shoulder straps attach to would dramatically improve the design flaws. That's something one could even do themselves (with a needle, thread, elastic band, scissors, and patience), so I may just adjust it myself. Will upload pictures if I do!

This is exactly what we needed! My 8 month old is no longer worried about falling back when she scoots around on the floor. Although she hates shirts and things touching her arms, once she realized that with this on her falls dont hurt she happily kept it on, despite the occasional slipping of the strap. The strap does slip down on her right arm some times to the level of her biceps, but if she is playing with both hands it stay up just fine. It slips more if she does not have a shirt on.

Thought this was adorable and now that my son is at the age where he is pulling himself up doing all things baby! Lol I figured this would help him when he took a tumble... I feel so dumb go Buying this! Did not give my child any safety if anything it was in the way... looks like a costume you would put on your dog! Don’t waste your time!

This is a really great product for a baby when they're crawling. I bought this for my dd when she was in her crawling stage, it works great. The padding is perfect and comfortable for them to wear. Yes, you may have to make a minor adjustment to the straps so that it can fit better but the relief it brought was amazing. I kept this on my child most of the time because I hated it when she was crawling before this and would hit her head when she fell backwards.. at least forward they have their hands to help break the fall. Ever since I got this, I've recommended it to a few of my friends that have babies. It's definitely worth it and so cute!

The kid certainly looks cute wearing it, and I originally got it for my son when he started learning walking.However the strap design needs improvement as I find that due to the constant movement of the kid wearing it, it often falls off easily.

This protector is okay, it looks cute on the baby but for head protection, it's not very useful. This baby head protector could make bigger and wider especially the head back. I don't know why but the empty center could hit the baby's head if there is an edge. So I'll just let the baby wear once

Now I know some people think this is silly. Yes it won’t protect them all around but it does help.

The advertisement showed a front strap to secure it on baby better but the product I received had none. It keeps falling off my baby!
