AWESOME and TINY!
I have a small casual knife collection at home. I bought this to sharpen some of the ones that actually see use, as well as to sharpen scissors (which I have a hard time doing with my other sharpening instruments). The Diamond grit is just right to sharpen most things for home use (so not like CRAZY sharp, but sharper than out of the box new for sure if you know what you are doing). You do need to practice, if you don't already have experience sharpening with a whet-stone. You have to use your eye to set it flat against the pitched edge of your blade, then push the blade foward smoothly as if you are "cutting".Works great with scissors, though if you have never used a sharpener like this before maybe look up how to use a whetstone (as it is basically the same process, minus any water). The cermic honing side was really what set this apart though. It definitely might break if you drop it, so be careful, but the honing side makes the edge you just sharpened much smoother. And for being so small and cheap, you can use it on many (usually smaller) sharp objects to restore their edge. Not too fine, not too course.Would not use for larger cooking blades though, as it takes some skill to keep the angle correct on this tiny little sharpener on long blades. Rule of thumb, the blade should be no bigger than the sharpener in this case. Scissors are the exception, should work fine with basically any size scissors.

Works great, would highly recommend!
I work in a healthcare setting and bought this to use for sharpening both straight and curved surgical scissors, and its awesome!! Works really well, and has lasted great with lots of use. Its pretty small which I like and comes in a little pouch to keep it protected when not in use. Definitely would recommend for the price!

A handy sharpener when in the field
This sharpener is two-sided:- a very fine ceramic side that will put a sharp edge on a metal blade. i use this primarily for my pocketknives, especially when out and away from my tools- side two is a diamond coated surface, rated at 400 grit which i originally thought was far too rough for any of my knives. i'm was not really sure how to use this. at 3"x1" in size and such a course grit. it has come in handy when working on a neglected knife. the diamond coating quickly brings the edge back to functionality. then some patience while working with the ceramic edge can give you a sharp knifei like:the fine ceramic for putting a nice sharp edge on your knife. very handy on your desktop or when hiking or camping.the diamond coating though small will quickly put a reasonable edge on a knife. also good if you put a knick in you knife when in the field.

Great little stone for a steal of a price under 10usd
Dmd lx-1002 has what I believe iis close to the 400 or 500 grit and a 1000 grit As specified & This is actually quite a sufficient little sharpener for my needs and it has increased the sharpness on the blades I frequently use and I liked it so much myself I couldn’t resist grabbing another for the price for my brother to have. One note would be to just be careful if you’re not extremely experienced as the small size is a benefit for storing and a downside in a sense for larger blades or your hand getting in the way so don’t use it carelessly which should go without saying but worth noting. Anyways for small-medium size knives this works really well and can’t beat it for the cost.

Quality ceramic/diamond pocket stone
Just got the stone. It’s the typical size of those little stones, the ones meant to carry around in a pocket. Perfect. Exactly what I needed. The ceramic is.....well ceramic. LOL...it’s quite smooth (1,000, somewhere in there) and has no chips or defects. That was the main reason I bought it. It has a diamond side, moderately rough (around 400 - 500, maybe?). I hear people complain a lot about the diamonds rubbing off (NOT THIS STONE, just in general). I’ve never used any of the diamond stones, so I can’t really say. But, for me, I carry a pocket stone to touch up my knife while I’m out. And the ceramic side is more than sufficient for that. I’ve used it, hair popping edge, it’s great. If the diamond side lasts, great. If it doesn’t, I’m not concerned. But, if it matters, I’m already planning to snatch up several more of these. I like it that much. As of this moment, Amazon is out, and may, or may not get more. But, if they don’t......for the size, price and the ceramic side alone, I’d try to get ahold of one. It’s a good product.

Got what I paid for.
The ceramic side of mine was slightly dished out, but it was also like $9. It works well enough. I feel I got my money's worth.
