Great set up for the price. Nice beginners set up that gets you fully started. Would highly recommend this to anyone trying to start out on a budget. Caught many fish with this rod.

What a great set! Fly fishing for a year now, almost exclusively. I got it to replace my moonshine drifter rod and creede reel as I've been in alot of tight places lately and feared breaking it. Side note, I'll never buy another rod or reel thats expensive enough that I'll worry when I actually use it. I've tried this brand, maxcatch and orvis. I mainly fish for panfish anyway. Back to this set. It has everything you need to get going but a set of forceps. You could get away with just carrying the bag it comes in too, nice little side pouch. The reel does what reels do at this size, nothing special but it did some pre spooled and the line stretched out nicely. Also a few leaders that didnt just snap when I dionked them, cool. The rod is pretty stiff almost to the tip, but as soon as I got used to it I was sending flies into the trees just as much my expensive sets, and also catching fish too. The rod is kinda "cheaper" feeling but it functionals well. I liked the looks of the set and glad I bought it.

It was good it arrived in time and no snapped tips, I may have been lucky enough for it to not had been broken but it works great flys are amazing caught fish on them, Buy at your own risk it may come broken, Box was in horrible shape though

You can’t beat the quality and value this combo brings. I decided to buy this 3/4wt 9ft combo for when my friends want to come fly fishing with me and they don’t own their own equipment. The rod itself looks great, and feels great in the hand. Light feel and balanced with the reel. The performance of the weight forward fly line cast nicely. The rod and reel case is protective and has a dedicated section for each rod piece when it’s broken down. The case also looks great too. I can’t get over the value this combo brings to anyone looking to get into fly fishing or to have as a backup. To top it off, it comes with fly box, flies(handful of dry flies and wet flies), 3 leaders, and nippers, which on the nipper has an attachment to help tie nail knots. Thank you so much for providing quality products at a great price point. In today’s market, it’s hard to find things that make you impressed with the quality while still having a great price, and this combo gave me that.

Great for carrying hiking and use in tight tree choked areas and very narrow stream.

Love the rod and reel but tip snapped after a month of use

Bought the four weight version of this rod for my kids to use on a trip to the mountains… Wanted them to have a throwaway rod that they could practice on and target small fish in the creeks and streams… Figured if it lasted half the trip it would be worth it… It lasted the full trip, caught lots of fish and worked flawlessly… Extremely happy with this rod and reel for the Price.
