Pokémon TCG Lycanroc V Battle Deck (60 cards, Ready to Play)

Excellent. Like all battle decks, these are great as an introduction to playing pokemon tcg. They won't win you are tournaments and there is generally no valuable cards to be found, but the knowledge you get for deck building if you are a novice is where these shine. They are a great base to start building out your own decks. If you are buying these purely for collectable purposes, then unfortunately you will be disappointed.

Much like other battle decks this may not be the most competitive deck but, brought to accompany other decks and battle against those it's brilliant. A good selection of cors cards which all look great

I feel like there is an issue that people seem to be having with this item that needs to be addressed. To clarify THIS IS NOT FOR CARD COLLECTORS. This is for people looking to learn how to play the actual Pokémon trading card game. Some of the reviews have complained of duplicates of energy cards and various other things, without realising that multiple cards are crucial for playing the card game, as energy cards can be used on every turn. This pack also comes with an instruction booklet, rule booklet and a playing mat (amongst other things). This is a starter pack providing everything somebody needs (Pokémon, Energy & Trainer cards) to get started playing Pokémon. If all you want to do is collect cool cards PLEASE DON’T BUY THIS, it’s not for you. So please stop complaining. Just buy booster packs if that’s what you want.

Identical to the set reported by other reviewers. Wish I'd read those before ordering as I didn't really understand what this was, and was buying for a junior card collector. It's turned out to be good in unexpected ways though. Nice Lycanroc V card and 7 other less glamorous-looking cards Pokemon (Farfetch'd, Sirfetch'd, Diglett, Dugtrio, Onix, Steelix, Sudowoodo). 13 duplicates of the pokemon cards. 18 rock energy cards. Item cards including several duplicates. Trainer cards including several duplicates. The Lycanroc playing coin and damage counters are good. For card collectors, this is not a good purchase HOWEVER, it also came with trading card game (TCG) rules, paper playmat for setting out cards and got my little collectors into having a go at the card battling game, which was good fun, and has been repeated! The duplicate cards in the pack are a help, rather than a hindrance, when getting used to playing. For a collector, I don't recommend these. For a Pokemon fan who may or may not already collect cards and might enjoy learning how to play the trading card game, I do recommend these!

Bought these for my nephew who's really into Pokémon at the moment, and he was overjoyed! They hit the mark perfectly as a gift for a Pokémon-loving kid.

A good set, fully packaged and sealed. This was a gift and the recipient is very pleased.
