As a picky vegetarian, my Doc said I wasn’t getting enough Omega-3 in my diet so I chose a supplement. Chose this one based on good reviews. As hard to tell if it makes a difference as it is to tell if a multivitamin makes a difference. What can you do?!

I've been taking this for years. Still the best.

An algae-based EPA+DHA supplement is one the most important supplements in my daily routine. If my week is packed and I forgot to set out my supplements for the entire week, this is one of the few that I prioritize. (The others are D3+K2, B12 as cyanocobalamin, and Alpha Lipoic Acid.) This brand seems to be the best bang-for-the-buck. You get 50% more EPA+DHA here in each softfel than the average algae-based product, and there's 1mg of astaxanthin here to help with the stability of the fats. (I'm a vegan, so I haven't compared this product against any fish-based alternatives.) This is one of the few products that I do have on my subscribe-and-save.

I HAD to come and review these. They work. For a vegetarian or vegan to have this option instead of fish oil is really awesome. For years, I had broken my vegetarianism to get omega oils. Because of high triglycerides. Then I tried these. I wasn't taking them daily. Then I got my labs. And was suggested I go on meds. I said "Let me have 3 months to do what I need to do... on my own. If they don't improve, we'll have this discussion again." In that time, I took these daily (just 1 a day). I re-tested, and it had improved enough for the med discussion to not have to take place. 2 years later, I am still taking them daily. My labs just came back lower than I have remembered them being in decades. Call me a believer.. they're in my daily intake for good! Thank you, Pure and Essential!

I tried these after using the SR, Sports Research, product Vegan omega -3 630 mg DHA-EPA, which gave me excellent lipid reports with my daily seeds and no after taste or other problems as described below by this product. I only took one soft gel daily with both products as I add freshly ground flax and chia seeds to my diet daily. But with this product, I had problems from the beginning with some acid reflux which I had experienced with fish oil products as well but I did not have with my SR pills. The product has a strong smell of oil when I open the bottle and I wonder about rancidity. I adjusted by making sure I drank a lot of water or took the pill with food. I bought this the end of May '23 and kept it in my AC house set at the low 70s Fahrenheit. But by the beginning of August I had to pry the pills out of the bottle because they were sticking together. When I pried them out they were leaking orange liquid around inside the bottle, on my hands, and in my pill box. The bottle says best before 02 2026 so they have not expired. I still have half a bottle of pills that I might just toss. I cannot recommend this product because of the aftertaste, the strong smell, and the broken pills leaking orange fluid. I will go back to the Sports Research product.

Bit pricey but great product which has improved my 'good' cholesterol. Like that the shell is made from pea starch and not corn starch like some others.

fantastic alternative to krill or other non-veg options

Für uns nach umfangreicher Recherche die richtige Wahl wegen der hohen Qualität und die beste Alternative zu Fischöl, das leichter oxidieren kann. Trotz gesunder Ernährung fühle ich mich damit besser versorgt um ständigen Entzündungen im Körper entgegenzuwirken (wir brauchen den Ausgleich zum recht hohen Omega 6 Anteil in unsrer Ernährung). Gerade für meine Eltern (beide über 70) ist die zusätzliche Versorgung wichtig.

Omega-3 que viene de algas cultivadas en ambientes controlados que significa que estan libres de contaminación. Contiene DHA y EPA que son las que el cuerpo utiliza de manera mas eficiente para la salud del corazon, cerebro y vista y tambien contiene Astaxantina que es un antioxidante mas potente que la vitamina C (y por esto el color rojizo de las pastillas). Segun he leido el Omega-3 puede interactuar con otros medicamentos medicos, por ejemplo el tratamiento anticoagulante, asi que mejor hablar con tu medico si tomas algun tratamiento antes de comprar estos suplementos. Por parte de Amazon todo muy bien, el envio super rapido, bien empaquetado todo y el producto sellado y en perfecto estado!
