This is great. Not to spicy. The taste and texture are a great addition to sauces and dips. Great addition to spaghetti or chili or just on top of a good ramen or mixed with any noodles probably. It is very salty and very oily (soy oil). My last order was sealed and still covered with some of the oil that leaked. Amazon refunded me, no problem. Still would buy again.

Shipped fast and well packed. This stuff is highly addictive, in the best way. It’s not just heat, it adds flavor and texture.

The best taste alone or mix to create a sauce I put on my hamburger it’s delicious spicy but not hot has a great flavor friends tried it and loved the flavor I’ve tried other brands from grocery store all taste bland this chili crisp is the best !

This stuff is so good !! It has an amazing savory taste that’s almost addictive. It’s mostly medium on the heat factor, not too spicy but just enough.I add this to anything I can but it goes great with ramen noodles, shrimp, and scallions. 👍😍I will be buying this as long as they make it.

PROs: nicely spicy with a nifty crunchy texture. reasonably priced (unlike a lot of the trendy "craft" chili crisp flooding the US market now).CONs: preservatives you might want to avoid (monosodium glutamate, sodium sulfite, and sulfur dioxide). super salty.I was lucky to receive my big jar in one piece, unlike some reviewers. (There wasn't any cushioning inside the box to protect it in transit, so I would advise anyone ordering to consider ordering it alone, rather than as part of a larger order of things that might get damaged by leaking oil or an inadvertently cracked or smashed jar.)Don't be put off by bizarre assertions in some reviews about a "fishy" taste: there is none, nor are there any ingredients that would impart one!There is, however, a lot of salt. To my palate, the level of sodium is overwhelming, which is a shame because I like nearly everything else about Lao Gan Ma's chili crisp, aside from the preservatives.Chili crisp has a way of enhancing most foods that is surprising and delightful. It is fantastic on everything from eggs to veggies to meats to noodles.It has a habit of disappearing really quickly... which is why, if you like the taste, this large jar isn't overkill.If you haven't tried it before, it might not be a bad idea to first buy a small jar at your local Asian grocer to see if you like it: it should be about $3 for a 7oz. jar. You can also order a case (12 jars) of LGM here on Amazon for about $36.After buying this Family/Restaurant Size jar of LGM, I ordered a case of the small jars.Interestingly, the small jars (produced in March 2020) I received taste COMPLETELY different than this large jar: the sodium level isn't through the roof like it is in this large jar, and the flavor and crispiness are noticeably better.I have no idea if it is typical for batches to vary this much in taste -- or if I just got a one-off or expired large jar -- but I am even more addicted now.Great stuff!

Have ordered this twice and both times delivery was flawless, no leakage, no breaks. (I'm always concerned about ordering glass jar products.)And the taste is amazing. Heat perfect, not too hot that it detracts from the flavor of the dish, but has a very nice heat that comes out later. Yum, yum.I use this on so many things, Chinese, Thai, Indian, ramen, navy bean soup, even scrambled eggs! Such a versatile condiment!

This is my favorite chili oil and I will be ordering again! It is exactly the way I like it. I don't know how to describe it but it's not too sweet, not too spicy- just perfectly spicy. I love the little peanuts in it too! I eat this stuff on tuna, salads, rice, almost anything.

Bright red, and almost glows in the dark. But actually, not quite as spicy as expected.Just use a little more than you thought necessary.My opinion: If it doesn't make your nose run, it's too bland.
