Great reference for making garb for our local Renaissance Festival.

I like anything about the Medieval Period, and Costumes, Clothing, fabrics etc. it’s a wonderful resource.

Good for addressing the different styles from peasant to court. Will help some when making costumes for Children, but must do a little more research to determine dress in the 1200's.

This book is wonderful. A wide variety of costume, a great number of historical images, clear patterns and dry wit, this book is a win.

My granddaughter loved the book. We are building her a "Library" of Costumes Designing and Patterns for her future as a Costume Designer whether Theatre or Movies. Wherever her dreams take her. Great book with good ideas and plans

Poor quality pictures and no pattern instructions

My son and grandson are new to the SCA and the costumes in this book are great. They also give instructions on how to recreate them.

... enfin presque, il faut juste accepter de sortir des clichés issus des films hollywoodiens et bannir les tissus synthétiques. Il faut tout de même connaître les bases de la couture, mais ce préalable étant posé, il sera facile de recréer des costumes féminins et masculins, des différentes classes sociales.
