Great flash
Excellent! The settings are a little bit confusing, at least for me being that it was my first flash. But luckily you can find at least 15 videos on YouTube explaining this.I recommend buying two of these if you’re taking pictures of people or animals. Battery life is fantastic!

Overpriced and not entirely compatible
For a simple manual flash, this unit is overpriced. And in spite of Adorama's insistence that all the R2 products are compatible, this one is not necessarily. The max flash sync on this is only 1/160, whereas both my Flashpoint and Godox flashes of the same build are 1/250. I'm returning this unit, as it produces a black unexposed area in images when the shutter speed is over 1/160, which is quite often. Why they couldn't produce a unit that matches their other offerings is pathetic. Or typical of rebranded cheap Chinese products.

S1 and S2 function does not work every time
I got the X Plor 600 and it was amazing, for that reason I bought this flash, and so far I do not like it. First it doesnt HSS by its own. only on S1 or S2. And then it doesn't work on S1 and S2.I was waiting for more or my expectations were to high

I did like not having to push the button to rotate the ...
Bought it for a wedding. It worked well, though it only does HSS using the radio receiver. Color temperature is a little warming and more magenta than Nikon's SB-900. Battery charger seems flimsy. The white bounce card also pulled out of the flash completely the first time using it (poor design), which never happened in the 8+ years I've been using my SB-900s. I did like not having to push the button to rotate the flash head, but since it doesn't have a lock, I am concerned it might wear out and not stay in place over time. Flash power seems to match the SB-900.
