Good value to brew small batches.
Worth the money even with some issues. Why I bought these: I wanted affordable, clear, glass, wide mouth jars. The included lids and airlocks were a good fit for my needs. -Clear...makes it easy to monitor the progress. -Glass...less worry about the chemicals in plastic and good for storage. -Wide Mouth...easy to clean. You can get your hand inside easily. Also easier to put stuff in them...no funnel. -Price...good value for building a small batch wine setup. I plan to start a new 3 liter batch every 2 weeks so I need a few of these. Unboxing these: The jars arrived in good condition. They were packaged well. I think the glass is thick enough and good for fermenting. I'm not sure about washing these in the dishwasher but who would need to? The lids were a little cheaper in build quality but seal well and work just fine. I had to play with the rubber grommet to get the airlock to fit right but it wasn't a problem. The airlocks were shipped inside of the jar and one of mine was broken. All of the airlocks like these are made of cheap plastic so I'm not surprised. I have a few extras already so it's no big deal. I bought this package deal mostly for the jars/lids. Conclusion: You can't beat the value of this deal. These are a good price and will work well for brewers and fermenters with particular needs.

Not great quality... missing items
I like the idea of this product... however, the lids holes are drilled unevenly in the center and one lid was cracked at the center. Both double bubble airlocks were missing from my order. I had ordered them because of how fast the shipping was but feel that they should take a little more time making sure all the parts are included and insuring quality... I was counting on using them today but now have to re-order so in the long run didn't save me anything.

Good kit for beginners
I bought these to try making homemade wine in. They worked very well and the air lock was easy to clean. The jars are made of a durable glass. You could probably put them in a dishwasher, but they are also very simple to hand wash. For the price, these are a great purchase for someone just starting out in the wine making world.

Glass could be thicker
I use these jars for small batch ciders (one pictured below) and they work great overall. The wide mouth makes filling and cleaning easy, and the airlocks fit snug with no sealing issues during fermentation. Only reason for 4 stars — the glass isn’t as thick as I expected. They held up fine, but I do wish they felt a little more durable, especially when handling during cleanup. Still, for the price and convenience, it's a solid starter set for homebrewers. Would buy again, just with a little extra care when handling!

Exceeds expectations!
Excellent vessels for getting started with brewing home wine! Far easier to clean these than traditional carboys and the airlocks prevent any mess from happening. The plastic lids are the only question mark with regard to longevity, but I'm sure they'll last fine with proper handling. Would buy again.

I Love Them!!!
Definitely my favorite vessels. I watched some YouTubers use them so I thought I'd give it a try they are amazing. The wide mouth allows easy access to my brew so if I need to add or take out ingredients I can do it with ease. Glass is pretty thick so I don't worry much about heavy mixing when I stir my brews. The air locks are standard but I personally prefer the s shape ones over the multiple piece air locks. I will definitely be purchasing again!!

Cheap bubbles!
Commonly ok glass jars, plastic lids with a hole for a grommet, some assembly required-you insert the grommet, fiddly and cheap of the seller. The main reason, however, for the two-star discount is the poor quality of the cheap, cheap plastic bubblers. They have a standing seam each side of the stem, which prevents an airtight seal between the stem and grommet, a possible source of contamination, and preventing guaging the progress of yeast by watching bubbles. I had to resort to my shop to smooth the stem. Why should I have to finish their product? Not recommended.

My go to's for gallon brews. Tried switching to 2.65 gallon, came back when that seal failed.
I've so far made maybe 7 gallons total in these and have had no issue with normal use. Doing my 4th batch of peach mead and the airlock works great. I tried using a 2.65 gallon bucket but that had a bad seal on the grommet so monitoring air lock activity was difficult. Racked back into these 2 since I know they function properly. The wide mouth also helps in putting your fruits in all at once if you go that route. I haven't seen any damage on the glass or cap so far. I would only wish I could maybe buy a set of these with some type of insulator to help keep the temperature easier to avoid buying from someone else and having a poor fit, but that doesn't affect the operation at all.
