A Reliable Workhorse: Camco 5000 Trailer Winch Review
The Camco 5000 Trailer Winch is a dependable piece of equipment that has served me well in various towing and hauling tasks. After using it extensively this summer, I can confidently provide an honest review of its performance. The first thing that struck me about the Camco 5000 Trailer Winch is its solid build quality. It feels robust and capable of handling heavy loads- way overkill for my jetski but I wanted something that was heavier duty than what was on my trailer previously. I've used it to load and unload my jetski onto the trailer, and it has shown no signs of wear or malfunction. However, a slight reduction in weight could make it even more durable. Operating the Camco 5000 Trailer Winch is relatively straightforward. The handle is comfortable to grip, and the ratcheting mechanism works smoothly. It has a solid locking system that ensures the load stays securely in place. I appreciate the included strap, which is sturdy and long enough for most applications. However, a longer strap would be beneficial for larger boats or trailers. This winch boasts a 5,000-pound capacity, which is more than adequate for most trailer applications. It has effortlessly handled my PWC with no signs of strain. However, if you regularly deal with significantly heavier loads, you might want to consider a winch with a higher capacity. Considering its performance and durability, the Camco 5000 Trailer Winch offers reasonable value for money. It falls within a mid-range price category, making it accessible to most boaters and trailer owners. It provides reliability without breaking the bank. In summary, the Camco 5000 Trailer Winch is a reliable and durable piece of equipment that has served me well in various towing and hauling tasks. While it may not be the flashiest or highest-capacity winch on the market, it gets the job done effectively. With proper care and maintenance, it should continue to perform reliably for years to come and is a massive upgrade over the one that came with my PWC trailer.

Boat wrench
This boat wench is great. Seems well made and sturdy. Works perfect and fit well. Easy to install and easy to use. The fwd/back lever is east to use too making for a easy to use wench. The rope is good quality and I expect it to last for years. Great value for the price.

Great
These are great, they are easy to install, they seem very nice and heavy duty. We use them for jetskis and they work great. The one downside for us is that the handle was too long to fit our trailer curvature, too long to go a full circle. We had to use our old handle to make it fit. For reference we have an older double jetski Karavan trailer. This would not be an issue on a boat trailer, or maybe even on a different jetski trailer.

Dangerous
Installed one year ago and used for 10 or so boat launches. Noticed the gear lock looked like it could easily slip out but had no issue until this weekend. Luckily the trailer was backed far enough into the water, but the gear unlocked released my boat into the water. When I pulled the boat out I made sure the gear was locked to eliminate human error. I pulled up the ramp VERY slowly just in case. Sure enough the lever slipped past the gear and the boat was loose. No damage as the bunks provided enough friction to keep the boat on the trailer. I read another review indicating the same problem.

A really good trailer boat winch. I used it to replace the relatively new winch that the teeth had ground off on my camper trailer. Handle was a little long but I was able to use the old winch handle. Would recommend this product!
