Great pot for bushcraft kit
This pot is perfect for a bushcraft kit. The locking lid is tight and secure when latched. It's solid and well made with tight tolerances. It's not as light as a titanium pot but this will hold up to years of use without issue. I have a few Zebra Billy Bush Pots (the Firebox versions with the steel locking latches) that I thought were the best all around bush pots. I bought this Fire Maple pot on on a whim, figuring I'd give it a try and use it as a spare, only to have it become the pot I grab first now. The compact size, wire bail handle that folds down tight to the sides, and flat locking lid make it fit better in a pack than Zebra pots. Being able to lock the lid regardless of the bail handle position is a great feature. It's big enough to store a well stocked survival kit, boil almost 1.5L of water (it's actually bigger than the stated 1.2L), and make a sizable meal at camp. The included mesh bag is oversized and loose, but functional. The only thing that would make it better would be to include, or make your own, well fitted carry bag out of Cordura or canvas. Great pot, well worth the money. Hell, I think I just talked myself into buying another one... :)

This works great!
We wanted a camp pot with a pouring spout. My husband locks on the lid and uses it for his pour over coffee- he loves it. It also works well for cooking soup and other quick camp meals. It’s a wonderful upgrade to our camping gear. It serves many functions, is light weight, and easy to pack/use.

Fire Maple 1.2L Camping Pot
Has good features overall: pail handle stays up, has fold-out grip handles, stainless steel. A little on the small side. But big enough to heat water for freeze-dried meals, make coffee, heat water to bath.

Lost handle + broken lid clip --- Replaced by manufacture
UPDATE: I received unsolicited contact to see if they could help resolve my lid issue. (see below) They could not get me a new lid. They sent me a new pot! I have been using this pot for a long time now. I use it daily as part of a pore over coffee system. Since the lid works I tried baking this morning. Give that a try the next time you are in the woods. It is a real treat. At $40 get this one! The handle hooked on something and came off. My fault but note it will come off. Next The little snap that holds the lid on the pot broke off. It looked to be the obtuse angle was very brittle. Other than that. It is a great pot for camp. Made coffee this morning on my Jon boat. Had Ramen noodles and steamed veggies for lunch. Croppie fillet and French fried taters for dinner.

Haven't used much, but when we have it is great!
This works great the times that we have used it. I will admit we haven't used it as often as we thought we would opting still for the microwave inside the 'camper.' However, when the weather is right and using our Coleman Camp Stove this has done a great job! Its been easy to clean which is very helpful and the size of it is perfect for just two people.

Disappointed
Very disappointed in the quality of the pot. The lid is very loose fitting and rattles around up and down and side to side, even when locked. When locked the lid is still able to move up and down at least 4mm. The bale handle does not lock in the vertical position as shown in the advertisement videos and photos. The advertisement photos and videos show the bale handle locked in the vertical position by the clips that lock the lid. This is not possible as there is at least a 3mm air gap between the lid clips and bale handle. When hung by the bale handle the pot does not hang vertical. It hangs canted approximately 5°. The two side handles just kind of flop around. They do not lock in either the folded or unfolded position. The pot does appear to be made from good quality material. I like the steamer feature which is the main reason for this purchase.

Solid pot that does what it is supposed to do. Only complaint would be that the butterfly handles are loose and don’t lock in securely. They easily swing out when pot is tilted towards handles which is kinda annoying. Purchased two and both were the same Would be a perfect pot without this issue.

I have a Snow Peak kettle 1, a zebra brand pot, a Stanley adventure pot and a couple of unnamed crap, even used a commercial stainless steel water pot for a long time. This Fire Maple Billy Can outwit all competition.

One of the handles are loose, and there was no option to receive a replacement, only return and get back the money. Because i bought it with a big discount i prefer to keep it.
