Q: Does this breakdown or degrade an existing factory wax coating (GM) on a newer vehicle?

No it will not. Salts Gone specifically does not have anything in it that will break down or emulsify oil. This is why it's very popular in conjunction with undercoating products, safe on fishing reels, trailer bearings, does not remove wax etc. If you want to remove undercoating this is not the product for that application, but it is 100% safe to use over top of it.

Q: Is this safe on ceramic coating?

Absolutely! It's one of the major reasons people use our product. Even the concentrate (before its mixed with water) is PH neutral. This makes it 100% safe on ceramic, wax, electronic screens, fabrics, vinyl wraps etc.

Q: Can you use this as a protective pretreatment?

Absolutely! It’s a salt remover and corrosion inhibitor! You don’t have to wait for salt to start using it!
