Perfect fit on my 2006 F150 Lariat super crew. Gave good pointers to remove old broken pieces from shifter so able to get a good snap into place which really helped me cause at first I didn’t think it would fit mine but after reading it and removing them it snapped right in perfectly and looks great now

my factory cap had the chrome peeling off. The chrome was so sharp it sliced my finger deep enough to want to get stitches, but being a car guy I just grabbed some tape and toilet paper and taped up my finger until I could get home to get the super glue out and glue my finger shut. The cap was torn off in a fit of rage and tossed in the dumpster. I had been driving around for a few months with out it. I wanted to do a shifter swap to a newer F150 with the leather wrapped grip. How ever I never have time to work on my own cars so I put it off and off until I was cleaning it last week. The missing cap was driving me nuts. I hopped on Amazon and found this cap. This cap works even if you have broken the clips on your original one and the tabs are still stuck in the shifter. So I ordered it with low hopes being that it was cheap and from Amazon and likely chinese junk. It arrived in 2 days and last night I popped it on in the dark and all was right with the world again. My shifter no longer tries to take my fingers off or poison me with superglue. Its no longer missing and looks like a truck you would find at a broken down buy here pay here lot. I know now that I could sell this truck for top dollar and buy myself a lambo with the money.

The chrome plating is nicely done. I had removed the broken bits left from the OEM cap before discovering that at least the left and right clips engage in a different location and don't conflict. Not sure on the rear one. This cap doesn't seem to be quite as rigidly attached as the OEM one, but is quite an improvement over a factory one that has started to fail, or completely broken off.

This made The shifter looks so much better. I used a pair of channel locks to remove the old cover. This one just pops right back in. Easy!

Fits but not an exact fit

Impressed with this product. It was cheap to buy and quick to ship. Make sure to pick the old broken tabs out of the shifter and scrape off any old glue if someone "fixed" this before. I bought this because my 8" subwoofer caused this to vibrate loudly and the chrome was peeling off the old one. This one fits very snug and snaps into place. It only goes on one way so make sure to look at the tabs and align it so they all have somewhere to clip in. A+++If you found this review helpful, leave a like!
