Minion DHF - Dual Compound - E25 Rating, Tubeless | Gold Standard of Gravity Focused Tread

This tire has been great. I have them on my old Trek (pictured) and my Pivot, and Giant. I bought this 26x2.4 for the old bike and it has made a huge difference in traction and handling. the old tire was worn and a 2.1". I didn't think the .3 would make much of a difference but it really has. I am running the DHF front and rear. and they work great for me. Running this tubeless so that part was easy to set up, getting them on is a little work, not much but with some tire levers, it popped right on the rim. no issues with a bunch of riding on them.

I replaced my worn tires w/Maxxis EXO Dual Compound Minion DHF Tires, on both the front & rear tires on my MTB. The difference was noticed immediately. The ramped knob configuration dug in & gripped while climbing up hills keeping me from breaking traction. While descending, the aggressive tread design made turning feel tight & secure. On root crossed trails w/heavy leaf coverage, the tires kept slipping to a minimum. While riding on paved surfaces, the tires are surprisingly smooth. I’m guessing this is due to the tires’ compound makeup. I expected a significant amount of road buzz, audible & felt in the hands. This is not the case. Of course there is a small amount, but that cannot be wholly avoided unless you have road specific tread. Overall I am more than happy w/the Maxxis EXO Dual Compound tires. They have surpassed my performance expectations. As a bonus, I think they look great.

I have a specialized stump jumper and love the way these tires work and look. They are durable allowing me to mountain bike through all sorts of terrain. Enjoy!

Tires have EXCELLENT grip and cornering abilities. I use this tire for FRONT AND REAR. Very smooth wet rocks and roots are a slight problem during cornering, yet I haven't found a tire that doesn't slip some, in the same wet conditions. Overall for my riding style and capabilities I can't find any tire I like better or trust more. You could call me old school but I'm honestly stuck on liking the 26inch mountain bike wheels and tires. I hope they don't phase these out of production for that size. Then again I'll probably have to grow up to 29ers sometime.

Bought for kids bike, easy to install

So far the tire has been excellent for me. Mounted on the front of bike and gives me all the traction I need on and off road. Seems to roll smoothly considering decent sized tread pattern. Was a tight fit so really had to work to get tire properly seated on wheel but that’s not a bad thing.
