Very cute movie, very age appropriate

DreamWorks has a great talent for taking predictable formulas and making them unpredictable, and for taking tired old tropes and making them feel fresh.This is a perfect example of such. While certain plot points, such as the surprise villain and the heel-face turn, will not surprise you, the script is still filled with additional twists and turns that keep it fresh throughout. And while a lot of the humor, on its face, may appear to be low-brow bottom-of-the-barrel, the execution of it still had me pausing it to excuse myself to the bathroom from laughing so hard continuously.Is it an artistic masterpiece? Well, no, of course not. But it's a movie that harbors no delusions of being such and instead aspires to be good for what it is. It's what one might call a "good bad movie," similar to Ace Ventura, Caddyshack, Airplane, or Life of Brian in that, while it never aspires to be cinematic art, it is still unquestionably entertaining.

I got this for my grandchildren

Given as a gift at Xmas. I can't say I watched it but the kids did and they seem to like it.

Great price! Suitable for any age group. Lots of laughs and a moral lesson that could be used to open up communication with kids. I’ve watched it twice and caught things I missed. Ready for part 2!
