You're going to want to watch a few video's on how to do this. I would start by taking a magic marker and marking the reed with a dot on top. This way it will always be right side up when you put it in. Take a very good look at the exact position on the tone board. It only takes very tiny changes to affect the sound. You just have to move it back and forth to get it right. It can be tough. Temperature and weather affect the sound in the field. I normally take 3 with me and use the best sounding one that day.
