Wooster Brush 5224-2 1/2 Sash Paint Brush, 2.5 Inch, Silver

Was using it specifically with SW Pro Classic oil based alkyd paint. Added a small amount of penetrol and japan drier and had a fantastic combination of faster drying (without Japan drier, it takes a LONG time to dry) and level paint, with very little--and sometimes no--brush strokes. This brush made it easy to cut good lines and have control when painting. I would definitely recommend.

I buy quality paint, brushes and rollers and typically buy Purdy but honestly, I've gotten somewhat lax about cleaning them and have ruined more than one lately. At half the cost of Purdy these Wooster brushes (and roller covers) are a great bargain. They've not shed any bristles and handle well even when cutting in on heavily textured walls. I've been keeping them full of paint wrapped in a plastic bag (I'm lazy ; ) and they've lasted a couple months this way with only a bit of rust from the metal band at the base of the bristles. I've had no rust creep into the paint so I'll continue to do this as I work slowly through all of my painting projects.

Solid wood with bristles that feel like they came from and angel. When using the paint from the brush was full and held the paint well. Cutting was a breeze. I’d highly recommend using this brush.

I have a few other Wooster brushes and they are all high quality. This one was also good quality, and the price was right. The only issue I had was that it frequently lost bristles which ended up on the painted surface. A bit frustrating. Other than that it did a good job.

Used this to paint my baseboard and walls! Very smooth and easy to clean. The bristles are great quality.

This brush can hold a lot of paint. The bristles are soft but can help my amateur job so precise when painted the edges. Good brush.

One of the best YouTube DIY videos recommended what I thought was "Rooster" paint brushes. A little research sent me in the right direction to "Wooster." Couldn't find the brand locally, so here I am on Amazon again! Good balance, good angle of bristles for painting my baseboards. I'm not a professional painter, but I think this brush helped my project look better than it otherwise would.
