We ordered this to keep the squirrels away, and no squirrels have gotten into any of the 4 feeders. There is a baffle that goes on this that keeps the squirrels away. We use safflower seed in the bowl, and squirrels also don't like safflower seed. We did have to put something sturdy at the bottom so it would not blow over in the wind, but that was no problem. We can see all the feeders from our window and watch the birds daily. My husband wanted this and is very happy with it. I was not sure it would keep the squirrels out, but it has. We get several types of birds with a few on more than one feeder at a time. Very happy with this purchase. The plastic tray we put the safflower seed in blew away in the wind, and we used the bottom of a stronger pot in it's place, and it works fine. I still gave it 5 stars since everything works and the squirrels are not eating our birdseed.

Exceeds my expectations. A very sturdy and attractive solution to hanging bird feeders when the HOA demanded I take down my roof mounts. I weigh down the base with planters to provide extra support. Assembly instructions were not clear, but anyone can wing it.

I assembled this and the pole isn’t standing straight up. I need to go and check out what I can do to make this correct. I selected this stand because it has a sturdy base that I thought would be good in a wind storm. It hasn’t fallen over, but the pole not being totally upright is bugging me.

The media could not be loaded. I had to experiment with this item. As you can see in the pictures I live in an apartment, and the product did look too big for my apartment deck, and the birds got nervous of the height of the pole due to the deck not being too big enough for the birds. So I did take the top piece off; the pole you see in my pictures is not the real height (that’s what it looks like with the bottom & middle portion). What’s really nice about this product is you can adjust it and design it the way you want to adjust to your home/property. Once I buy a home, I’ll put the top piece back on. It’s heavy duty, the birds are all getting chunky and they know it’s a safe spot for them. I get to see all sorts of birds and it really is special watching them. I love this item very much, and it brings me a lot of a happiness. My huge Labrador/Great Dane and my Cat love to watch the birds as well. As you can see in the video, this is what I wake up to every morning and I truly can’t tell you enough how much I don’t regret buying this. Thank you very much 🩵🙌.

Good idea, poor design. I have an Effortless bird feeder stand that works great because it has a base designed to hold 20 lbs of sand. Unfortunately, I can’t find those anymore, so I was happy when I found this free standing feeder/flower pot holder. It looks okay but doesn’t function well. The “arms” that slide on it to hold things don’t stay in place well. The little sticky things (about the size of an M&M candy) that came with it to help hold the arms came off in just a couple of days. The base is not heavy enough to stabilize it. The weight of a squirrel climbing on it turned it over.

The media could not be loaded. I invested in the Yard Tree Bird Center. The plastic basin was intact. The pole pieces are color-coded, but the directions don’t say what order to put them in the base, so the first one was a guess. (It is wider side down).Because it is a nice looking piece, I used black zip ties to secure the “gravity arms” on the poles: less noticeable than the suggested clamps. The little adhesive dots were not considered for the job.It is heavy. I am waiting to see if a squirrel or the wind knocks it over. Until then the birds are loving this, and I appreciate the practical and aesthetic value.Update: the winds here gusted to 60 mph yesterday and the Yard Butler Feeder Stand did not fall over. Truly worthwhile item!

I had a hard time trying to put this together with the horrible directions. Nothing was labeled. It was a guessing game with the poles. I finally gave up and had my son do it when he visited. He also had a hard time. It would have been a big help to have directions. It doesn't look very sturdy. I wouldn't recommend. Customer service was useless, just a recording...

I really like this feeder stand. In my opinion it is perfect. I do not need to poke holes in my landscaping fabric any more. I have added extra hooks with no problems so I can get a huge variety of birds. I put a green squirrel baffle that opens, although you could easily do one that does not open, as you would install it while building the pole. I have had zero squirrels on either one. I bought two, one for home and one for the cabin. You do need a flat area to put this otherwise it will tilt. I have not used the water bowl yet as it is still winter but looking forward to spring and using that bowl which looks much easier to keep clean than a large bird bath. I like this way better than any shepherds hook I have tried in the past. I did add support on the bottom of the one at the cabin as the location I was able to use due to setting up in winter was not flat, but the one at home has no support and seems fine. Will revise that after snow leaves if I change my opinion. The only issue I have is how this item is shipped. The first box came very banged up, but everything was okay inside and all parts arrived. The second box was so damaged that there were many pieces missing and the base was crooked, however the replacement for the damaged item came in absolutely pristine condition. I was amazed.
