Can this be used to mix nail polish that has separated?

You can but it takes a long time, the tips are almost round and nail polish is a bit thick for the little motor. I will recomend it for ink, but not for nail polish.

How do you insert the battery? And how do I turn it on?

I don’t know how they insert it but you only need to press the button to start it

How do you insert the batteries and turn it on?

Turn it on by pushing the thumb piece on the back end of the mixer. Insert batteries by unscrewing the bottom of the hand piece.
