The cats don't love this. I have two 5-6 month old recently feral kittens. The first box of this they gobbled up, but they'd never had regular food or any kind of moist food. They often ignored some of the vegetable chunks, but I figured maybe they'd get used to them once they tried it. Some feel that cats should only eat 100% meat, but experienced cat owners know they do like to nibble on and even eat some vegetables. Sure, they also like to eat strings, plastic, and all kinds of things that aren't good for them. But I feel that having variety is good for any animal so I appreciate that a food has nutrition in it, even if the cats aren't in love with it. I'm not sure if it's the taste or texture. By the time I got the second box of this, they had tried the Rachael Ray moist food. They weren't as excited when I put this food down. And would only take a couple bites and then get back to playing. Over the course of the day they will eat most of the can, but it seems it is begrudgingly. This actually might not be bad for managing their weight, since they don't devour it all at once like other foods. It seems to be a high quality food, I'd consider buying more, but there is something about this they don't like and so there is a bit of waste happening.

I rescued my sweet baby almost 6 years ago and at the time of her adoption, the Rescue was ONLY feeding Halo brand food to the cats (and dogs!). When I brought her home, I decided to keep her on the Halo brand food (both wet and dry); she has NEVER had an issue with not loving it! Her coat is healthy and soft, zero poop issues and she's not a puker.

My cats didn't like this food. I give it to the outdoor critters in their dry food.

Quality and quantity, at a fair and affordable price. Love Halo, and so does my cat!!! And I love my cat, so I give him Halo!! Honestly lol. 😄 Great ingredients!! Taste good (he -my cat- devours it) and it smells like real food to me. The label shows it. This is the first time I have tried Halo for my cat food and I am glad I am did.

My 20 year old cat, who has become extremely finicky, loves this food, especially the chicken stew. Until I discovered Halo, I’d been donating unopened cans of multiple brands of food that she used to eat. So far we’ve made it through almost a whole case of this food and she still prefers it over any other cat food. It is a very wet ground cat food; perhaps her old teeth prefer that. Whatever it is, as long as she eats it, I’ll keep buying it!

I've tried to love this brand. When most other products for cat food have all kinds of toxic ingredients that shouldn't even be in them, this brand was pretty simple and had more natural ingredients. Although I don't like the whatever gums. I know personally those thickeners cause severe inflammation in my body. So I can't eat them. I wonder if that's why my cats start getting sick on these too? They will eat them, then all the sudden just refuse to eat anymore. I stop feeding them the cans for a bit then try again. They'll eat for a bit, then just refuse them again. My one cat with severe food allergies gets really sick on them. My other with heart disease has begun itching a lot since I've been giving this to them. Again I wonder if the gums cause inflammation in them too? Since my cats both have gotten sick too many times trying this out, I began putting it out for the stray cats and a raccoon that frequents my yard. My cats are elderly and I feel stuck, but I swear the next time I commit to a cat I'm only buying them fresh food. All these fillers and such with that overly processed foods are making even our animals sick.
