Awesome Pond Clean Hands System, Containing Mechanical & Biological Filtration, Easy Maintenance Filter, UV Water Clarifier, for Ponds up to 450 Gallons, Black, (8845)

This review is mainly targeted toward the customer service. I purchased the clean hands filter system in 2022 and during the most recent cleaning the handle that you turn to clean it broke, like completely snapped off in half. I contacted customer service after looking at the website and seeing the 2 year guarantee. Unfortunately the part that I needed was not covered under the warranty but said they would check if they happened to have a spare handle around. Again unfortunately they did not have the piece I needed. So upon trying to figure out another option I asked if I could purchase the whole top assembly then instead. Once again they do not sell that part separately. BUT what they did do was found a top assembly from a smaller version that appears will hopefully fit mine and are sending it free of charge. While they didn't have the specific part I needed available they still tried their best and sent another part (free of charge at that even though that part wasn't technically under warranty)that will hopefully fit before I have to resort to buying a whole new unit. I really appreciate the customer service I received from Angie!As far as the filter itself, it works great and keeps my pond clear and I LOVE that i don't have to deal with messy sponge filters and trying to keep them cleaned out!PS- I would suggest to Pennington to have more replacement parts available for their products!

If there was a sixth star, this would have it. It is a little pricey, but it worked! I have been fighting a green pond for about 2-3 years. I have tried many products, even other cleaners and filters. Nothing worked. I put this one in line. It took about a week to see its effect. Once it had time to cycle the water, OMG> My outside pond (around 1000 gallons) is clean and clear! I was blown away. It has been running for a couple months, and the pond is still awesome. I flush the system about once a month. It takes about 3 minutes. I hope it lasts the winter outside.

I had to purchase additional parts like hoses, clamps, pump, etc. to complete the installation.

I don’t think the UV light is working. Green is coating the pond and it has what looks like an indicator light that is not on…. I don’t see a way to contact manufacturer/seller, but a replacement light might be what it needs, should be covered under warranty….Does anyone know the part number or order number for a replacement UV light? (The manufacturer must not read the reviews).

Looks like it is unbelievably easy to clean out. I've done it a few times already and it's soo easy. I hope I did the UV assembly correctly, the only part that might be confusing. Instructions weren't particularly clear, e.g. the knob that seems to go only in one place, but nothing in the instructions confirm that. Larger print might help too. Instructions seem to wonder, not very concise.Nevertheless, it is far better than any other filter I have had. Again, Impressive.

Easy to install, works well, filters the pond water well. Back flushing is easy and doesn't need done every day.

Handle broke, which rendered it useless water was pouring out, reached out to the seller. They let me know The only thing that was covered was the UV light. So it went into the garbage, waste of money.

This product has my pond looking great. And I love the mess free filter clean out.
