The Most Comfortable Knife You May Ever Own!!!
I have a kitchen full of knives (my hubby is a bit addicted!), but I saw this one (actually he showed it to me!) and I just knew it would be a great knife! I have a chronic pain condition, and this family of knives is recommended by the Arthritis Foundation, and it did not disappoint! It is very sharp right out of the package, is very easy and comfortable to hold, and makes chopping, etc. much easier on my hands. I loved it so much, I purchased the Duoglide 5” in this style, and also the slicing knife. Both are a pleasure to use. I have been using the slicing knife a lot for bread (cuts like butter!) but also for fruit sectioning, grapefruit and pineapple. I highly recommend these knives, esp. if you have any kind of problems with using your hands, or even if you don’t, they are great knives!!

Good knife takes some getting used too.
This is a good quality knife … with the heel extending a good ways under the handle it seems unconventional until you get used to it. Works quite well for kitchen chores preparing meals.

Easier on arthritic hands
I bought this Chef's Knife to reduce strain on my arthritic hands and fingers. It is more comfortable and balanced than my large regular knife. For me, it works better in a dicing-type up and down fashion than as a back and forth blade. I use it to cut through thick watermelon and cantaloupe rind and so far it doesn't cause as much strain on the hands, especially when I use the other hand to push down on the upper tip of the blade. The thin blade slides through easier. I then switch to a narrow blade to cut the fruit from the rind. It dices carrots and celery well. The grip is comfortable for my fingers. Sharpness is good so far in the two weeks of use. The cutting edge is about the same 8" as my old knife. Part of the cutting edge is beneath your hand (see picture), making better use of your downward pressure. Good product although it seemed a bit pricey. However, as arthritis sufferers know, a product that truly helps to reduce your arthritis pain is worth a few extra bucks.

Worth every penny
I noticed that I held our kitchen lives just short of the blade so I could have the leverage I needed. I searched for a knife that would be easier to use. I LIVE this Duoglide knife. I feel so much more in control of cutting and chopping, plus it reduces the stress on my weak wrist. Perfect.

Took a little getting to use to in the beginning with ergonomic handle but now it’s my go to kitchen knife. Highly recommended as an all purpose knife

I bought this hoping for a safer and more comfortable knife. I have basically been holding my knives with my hand on the blade because of arthritis, this safely puts my hand over the blade instead. Highly recommend it!
