Perfect ! Strong magnet holds really well on acrylic tank. Some reviews said it’s difficult to remove the magnet. Yes, it has a very strong hold!! What I’ve found works best, is to turn the outside magnet while pulling a side loose. Then it’s easy to glide it to the top of the tank for easy retrieval. As for dropping it in the tank, I put just the edge of the magnet to the tank. That way it doesn’t snap closed and it is easy to move around. It holds up to my Hippo and Orange Shoulder that go crazy for seaweed!

Ok, I thought about giving this three stars because the main point of spending this much on the clip is the magnet, and that's the part that broke as soon as I opened the package (there is only a piece of cardboard separating the two magnet, when a pulled then apart the magnet on one side separated from the clip housing staying attached to the otherside), but I knew that would happen going in as I read all the other reviews. I sealed it up with some superglue and it's all good. I shouldn't have had to, but I did. As far as I know this is the only product like this. The magnets are plenty strong for my 1/2" glass. I think it would be fine on 3/4" as well. The clip seals nice and tight, and if the spring mechanism wears out, the clip appears to be the same as on the cheaper suction cup version -- so relatively cheap replacement. All in all it works. Its a bit over-priced, but amazon's price is as good or better then most. I'd recommend it.

I know, you're wondering what can be so exciting about a veggie clip? The answer is this one is so easy to use. I like to feed my fish seaweed on a daily basis but it's always been a chore to do so. A chore because I have a big deep tank and if I use a piece of PVC with the seaweed rubber banded (which in itself is a small challenge and time consuming to wrap and set in place) when the fish are finished I have to use tongs to recover the PVC from the tank. Sometimes it goes under a rock making it hard to reach. The alternative is the common suction cup clip but this too is a bit of a hassle because I like to have the seaweed at least half way down the tank and to do this means half my arm is down into the tank. Not to mention that the suction cup doesn't adhere to the glass well each time so sometimes it comes off the glass and gets lost in the tank. Now for the good news. This magnetic clip is a breeze to use. I fold up a piece of seaweed and put it into the clip, then lower the clip into the water and use the outer magnet to catch it. Then I drag the clip down the tank where I want it and the fish go crazy. When it's time to remove the clip I just pull the outer magnet off the glass and the clips floats up to the top to be removed from the tank or refreshed. Some other reviews mention some manufacturing issues with these clips. I've been using two of these for 2 months now and I have had no problems. I would highly recommend this clip to anyone who want to feed seaweed or any other food that needs to be help in place with a clip.

Best veggie clip, fins down. The magnet is plenty strong enough to hold through the glass on my 210 gallon with fish pulling on it. The clip is very durable feeling and hasn't shown signs of slowing down or breaking.

Stronnnng magnet and clip

I used this to try and introduce veggies to my aquarium last night. I was hoping the quality would be there for the price of this. The magnets hold very well, almost too well for the outer piece as it was tougher to get off the tank, but this is what you want. My Otos sat on the cucumber all night, and the shrimp came in for feeding too. I would say this was a success and great product after first use.
