TOYOTA OEM "H" Chip Transponder Key (P/N: 89785-0D140, 89785-0D170)

I have purchased this key twice and both worked great. I took the key to the hardware store to cut the blank key to match my original key. I then down loaded software from Amazon to get my Toyota Corolla to accept the new transponder key. This saved me a lot of money from going to the dealer to have it done. It did take me 20 hours to figure out how to install and get the software to work the first time though. Even if you take the uncut or cut key to the dealer to program, the base key was much lower cost than my dealer wanted to charge me for it.

Excellent key blank. Worked with the 2018 Toyota Sienna on the first try. Be aware that the 2018 Sienna requires programming by the Toyota dealer or by a competent automobile locksmith. None of the self-programming methods that I found on the Internet worked, but the dealer programmed it easily on the first try.

The correct key with transponder for a 2017 Tacoma. I replaced an original key fob to an aftermarket fob and I destroyed the transponder when trying to extract it. So I purchased this solely for the transponder on my old key. Pairing to the vehicle was easy with the universal pairing tool on Amazon. I will purchase again to have a spare key from when I go do water sports and I don't want to take an original key with the fob (not water resistant/proof). Highly recommend watching multiple demos of people extracting the transponder from the original key to swap over to a new fob shell. Could save yourself $100.00.
