EGO Power+Portable Misting Fan, Outdoor Electric 18" 5 Speed Fan, Battery and Charger Not Included - FN1800

Holy Cow! I’m a rabid woodworking hobbyist but I live in Fresno, CA where summers are hot, hot, HOT ! It’s not uncommon for us to experience 30 consecutive days of 100° + weather. Most summers, we’ll see 60 - 75 days north of 100°. Obviously, that makes working in the shop absolutely miserable. In an effort to make the shop less miserable, I thought I’d give the EGO oscillating, misting fan a try. It was a desperation move actually. Boy, was I surprised. Shocked might be a better description.No assembly required. I stuffed in a battery and dropped the water uptake into a water filled 5 gallon bucket and punched the on button. In a matter of 15 minutes, this thing reduced the temperature from 94° to 78°, a reduction of 16°.I was skeptical, but now am truly convinced in the power of fan misting. Love this fan.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This EGO jobsite fan offers a refreshing change from the norm with its oscillating feature and three angle options, providing a more satisfying air output than my previous Dewalt fan. The battery efficiency is commendable, delivering a powerful performance even with just a 4ah battery. While I have yet to try the misting option, I'm excited to see how it performs in hot weather. It's worth noting that like other EGO products, this fan is on the heavier side, especially with a battery attached. However, the weight is justified by its solid build quality and multitude of features. Despite being bulkier than my Dewalt fan, the EGO fan's enhanced performance and utility make it a superior choice. Plus, the Bluetooth connectivity adds a convenient touch, allowing easy control via the EGO app on your phone. Overall, a fantastic investment for outdoor comfort and convenience.

Was on the fence about getting this but I regret not getting it earlier in the season. Would have helped a lot during son’s soccer games. Lasts long on a 5 amph battery and the mist is a game changer vet in the Texas heat

Awesome fan. My opinion if you need a portable outdoor travel fan this is it. It has a narrow wheel base so tips easily but I use this for my girls travel softball and it is a must during the hot summer months. Coaches love it. On high mister goes through a gallon of water every 10-20 mins, on high setting. Bring water with you. Will cool the entire dugout. Works with any ego batteries. Just changes length of time. 5.0 AH on high will last 3 hours or so. Setting 3 5.0AH will last all day.

The team loves this fan. It’s a little pricey but well worth the cost for what you get. Easy to assemble. The battery lift is about 4 - 5 hours. It’s not that loud of a fan and puts out a good amount of mist. Love this fan for sports teams and outdoor summer events.

Rugged; terrific pump. It IS a bit noisy but is designed to operate at the periphery and blow the air towards you. It’s expensive, but if you’re already using part of their ecosystem this is a must-have. Or be like me, spend $120 on a cheaper alternative for a name brand and watch the pump fail in less than 2 days. Or spend $60 for one at a wholesale club that didn’t even work out of the box.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I’ve now had this fan for about a month and it is working great! Lots of airflow which I appreciate greatly in South Carolina! The only thing I would improve is the wheels on the bottom. If they were a lot larger, they would provide more stability for the fan to roll on rough terrain,. As it is, they only glide on flat smooth surfaces easily. I love that the batteries that power my other yard tools will also fit this fan so I have less charging stations necessary.Use:This fan may be pricier than most… But it works better than most as well! I am using it to sit by the lake and enjoy hot days when I normally couldn’t be outside in the summer.

This is worth the money!
