Ran GTA V and other games great, while also being able to bring to class and take notes. Great functional laptop if you don’t want to break the bank. Battery life is good as well.

This is my 3rd Acer Swift purchase, this time trying out the Swift X, instead of the Swift 3. It's a great machine. Very fast, portable, comfortable to type on, fantastic screen quality. Don't get me wrong, there are better laptops out there. However, there are none better at this price point (at least that I could find after weeks of research). This laptop features a decent GPU, so I use it not only for work, but also for gaming. Can't handle the most challenging games very well (it's not a gaming laptop), but can easily handle the vast majority of them. The only complaint I have is the battery life isn't great for a laptop in this class. It's a lot less than my previous Swift 3, and definitely not impressive when compared to other similarly priced laptops. Overall, a fantastic laptop that I use daily for video conferencing, typing reports, emailing, and gaming in the evening once the kids are in bed.

I got this on special, and for the price I paid, wow. The hardware as of writing is a very capable low- to mid-range gaming PC, in a laptop form factor. I got this for the artist in the family to be able to render high-res scenes without crashing their computer. For most general art purposes, this is a beast. The laptop itself is okay. The barrel power plug is a bit silly when it's sitting right next to a USB-C port. Get with the times, Acer. But it all works. Keyboard and track pad are fine. Preinstalled bloatware wasn't too bad. Everything was uninstalled inside of an hour. The only real negative is that it does get hot. With this power and size there's no way around that. I do strongly recommend a "laptop cooler" of some sort, even just a vented plastic wedge to keep it off your legs. Or if you use a docking station to help control all your monitors and an external keyboard, you won't have to worry. Lovely laptop. Great performance. Can be gotten at truly decent prices. Very happy so far.

The Acer Swift X is lightweight with well more than satisfactory graphical power. Excellent for students who want to do school assignments and games on the side. You really won't find a better price for what you get in a laptop. Only advise i'd give is to maybe wait for the new Swift X laptops to roll out since they have a better display and more graphical power. But in all honesty, even with the new laptops out this acer swift x is a very very good laptop to buy. Pros: - Very strong graphics card, can run most if not all AAA titles with medium-high settings at 60fps - CPU is fantastic and feels very Swift (haha) - Keyboard is nice to type on - Screen will get bright - Battery life will last the entire day if you are doing basic browsing - Amazing price for what you get - Finger ID for windows hello - Ok webcam nothing special 720p - Wifi 6 card makes browsing the internet fast - Expandable nvme ssd storage - The thin bezels are nice - Very sleek feels like a sleeper with all this power, others won't know since it looks like a cheap laptop but it runs like a gaming computer Cons - White keys with keyboard backlight is a terrible mix, can't see what letters are on the keys with the light on in a well-lit place - Keyboard backlight has two brightness settings. 0% and 100% NOT DIMMABLE!!! and it is very bright in a dark room - The metal coating on the surface of the laptop feels cheap and feels very easy to scratch - Fan noise is quite loud even on idle (managed to make it silent by limiting the cpu power while on battery power) - Trackpad could be better, you have to press decently hard to click - Because the ram is soldered you can not upgrade the ram in any way which sucks
