Tone, feel, and tone are the 3 most important things about strings
I have used Elixir strings for 20 years, both acoustic and electric guitars. The tone is great, but the longevity is what really makes me smile. I would rather play the guitar than change strings, so these are the best you can get - unless you have a full time tech who restrings between songs.... and I don't. But, still, these strings give me 20+ hours of hard playing before any skin/nail/pick build up or noticeable change in tone or feel. Some times 20+ hours happens in a couple of weeks, sometimes a couple of months. I like the lighter gauge as it is easier as I get older, but doesn't give up tone.

Light strings have a lighter sound but it does not matter on my epiphone
These strings got me playing again, being older with not as much hand strength as I used to have. I love the sound from them and the increased ease of play. I can actually play my barre chords now without buzzing.
