Cheap metal that doesnt work
The set is made out of cheap materials and does not work. The porcelain pusher works fine, but the puller cant thread itself into the plug since the metal is not hard enough. They strip immediately. The third piece for grabbing onto spark plugs that are still intact, but with the threads removed, also doesn't work. Its not pliable enough to get onto the base of the plug. I got the Lisle tool and had the job done in 10 minutes no hassle, where this tool just would not work correctly.

Read this if you can't get the broken plug end out.
I gave it 2 stars only because other parts of it were useful. Here's what happened.Plugs #2 and #3 snapped off in my 4.6L Ford Mustang. I bought this tool. I used this tool and the threads were not hardened on the extractor. So, I cut out more of the thread with a dremel ans sharpened them. I also heated it up and tried to harden it. Unfortunately they used cheap soft metal with no carbon in it. The threads just flattened out.So, here is how I got them out!. I used a Tee handle 3/8" socket wrench and a tap holder socket. You could also just use a socket that will fit on the Tap. The Tap MUST be a 3/8-16 SPIRAL FLUTE tap. I dropped it down in there and carefully tapped the broken part very very carefully, use oil!. You need to get 4 threads cut into the broken piece.Once tapped I used a piece of 3/8" threaded rod in place of the extractor. I put washers and a nut on the end and pulled them right out. I ordered a Leslie replacement extractor that is hardened, but never used it because these things were in so tight they creaked all the way out. I do not think that would have pulled them either without stripping out.It took me a week of screwing around figuring out how to remove these things. Make sure you use OEM plugs when your done.
