I've tried many different laser hair removal devices. Tria has been the only other one that works this well. It has completely made my armpit hair go away for months at a time. I've always struggled with armpit hair, where I have to shave every other day - no more! I now just do touch ups. I've also used this along my bikini line, on my chin, and plan to use it on my ankles. It's not the best for small places (tough to get upper lip), but overall HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. It has some great setting (fast; sensitive/less painful areas). I will say that this brings some punch, and can be pretty painful, but it's worth it to me!

There isn't as much hair since it's somehow coming in slower, and if there is some, it's definitely thinner. Getting it professionally done is just so hard to do nowadays because of the cost and time it takes to go to the salon each week. Finding a comparable and more cost-effective alternative has been so amazing. I can't wait to see how my skin looks when I've hit the 12 week mark! It works as it is described and I saw hair reduction after 3-4 sessions. The problem is that by the 5th session, it would only work sporadically. Sometimes when I would push the button, nothing would happen. I cleaned the device exactly like the handbook describes as well. After I was half way through the 8th session, it completely died and now nothing ever happens even after letting it cool down. I tried following up as it advertises, but the only thing Amazon stated due to the issue my device had, was that it was too late to offer any refunds or returns. I had it for 60 days (one session a week for 8 weeks). End result, good product and worked liked it said, but only for 2 months.I would not pay this price for 8 total sessions and then be done.

This is a difficult product to review. The device does very well on the obvious criteria like design and ease of use. But prospective buyers will want to know if it actually works, and that's harder to answer. Bottom line - yes, but. I have used it mostly for my legs, and it does get rid of a lot of the hair, but there are several areas where it keeps coming back. The thing is, there's no way to tell how much of that is due to user error and how much is just the limitation of the technology itself. That's because it's very easy to miss spots as you go - there's no feedback to let you know where you have already treated (and that's mostly a good thing - the instructions say that some people get reddened skin or irritation, but I haven't had that at all). Also the head of the machine is a little bigger than the actual window that flashes, so you can't see to line it up exactly (not to mention legs are irregularly shaped). I have also used it on my mustache, with some success. Having used the device for 6 months (weekly for the first 12 weeks as recommended, and as-needed after that), I'm concluding that I will need to shave and re-treat about every 2 weeks - which is still way better than every other day, so I'm ahead.

I did not believe this would work for me, but it DOES. I have been using an epilator forever because I am (TMI) unfortunately a hairy beast who would need to shave my entire body every day, and then be razor burned pretty much constantly. I thought I would give this a whirl since I read some offsite reviews about this type of technology. I also read that this exact model is highly rated, even as an IPL (vs laser). After 3 weeks of once per week usage, I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT reduction in darker hairs on my legs and arms! I will keep using it because the results are amazing! (also, super easy to use, yes it takes time to do large areas but it's worth it and way cheaper than laser hair removal)

The device feels well-constructed and ergonomic to use. It comes with multiple settings: The rapid mode allows you to cover a wide area of skin efficiently, and the sensitive mode reduces the intensity of light so that it hurts less (although to be honest I couldn't tell the difference). The power adapter is kinda bulky and weighs about the same as the device itself, so it can be a nuisance depending on how far your outlet is. Like any other IPL device, it doesn't work on light-colored hair or darker skin—if that's the case for you, you just have to look for other options such as waxing, cream, or shaving.
