Lights well, no smoke, lasts long.
I ordered this to burn incense resin and have been extremely happy with the results! It lights extremely fast and is slow burning. The heat was perfect as it burned the resin slower. So far I’ve found NO broken disks and when I’ve opened a roll inside the package is really clean! So far I’ve not found broken bits! As soon as I run out of all 100 disks I will definitely be ordering more!

Great for the price, ok overall
Overall 4.5 stars.I usually use natural coals when at home and when I have lots of time and dont mind waiting the 20 minutes to get everything ready. These light in about 60 seconds and then you can light others off that one light coal. They are small. There is a odd slightly unpleasant smell for about 20 seconds after lighting but that's to be expected with all quicklights. The burn time and temperature regulations rates above average, and coupled with their very cheap price I'd rate it as a good buy if you're looking for quicklights. If you want the best smoke possible, stick to the naturals but be aware they are most costly and take much longer to prepare.

Best available at any cost. Clean burning and even heating.i recommend this over others.
Easiest to light I've ever used; just hold upside down, hold a lighter flame on the edge until it starts sparking; turn over and put it in my cauldron incense burner. Looks neat, little sparks go across to the opposite side, then the opposite side starts glowing red and building up a nice ash surface. 2-3 minutes and the whole disc is ready and burns easily for over an hour.

TRICK TO GETN SUCCESSFUL RESIN BURNING!!!
This is a great charcoal however after using experimenting with different techniques I've found the very best way so far to use thiswhich I'd like to share with you all.I've ran into the same neg issues that many folks discuss in reviewing (burning up resin to fast due to temp...)Well try this & see if it works as🤧🤧well as I come to know &trust. I use long handled cooking tongs cheaper ones that ull keep just for this. Take a piece w/tongs & I have a gas stove turning the heat on high I hold the disc over the flames (or now I even just lay it right on the grate & turn burner on high & let it go for about 3to 5 mins on each side (ull find wat works best for u) then & here's the key once I turn off burner I set my timer for 25 mins!!! This way wat I actually do is prepare the disc to be the correct temp to burn ur resin the way u want!! Slowly & wonderfully without WAIST OR THAT BURNT SNELL!! WHAT u want is ur disc to burn thru that red hot stage &. It'll become gray which is COOLER (JUST AS U WLD ID PREPARING COALS FOR GRILLING. ) AT THAT PIONT I TAKE MY TONGS & CAREFULLY GET UP UNDERNIETH THE DISC & WITH A CRADLE MOTION GENTLY REMOVE IT TO YOUR RESIN BURNER.MEANWHILE WEN WAITI NG FOR UR DISC TO BECOME THAT NICE GRAY COLOR ULL WANT TO TAKE A CPL PIECES OF RESIN & PLACE IN HEAVY-DUTY ZIPLOCK FREEZER BAGS & USING ROLLING PIN PLACED ON CUTTING BOARD AND CRUSH IT!! I LIKE TO HAVE 3 DIFFERENT SIZES THAT WORK WITH THE TEMP. 1ST I CRUSH SOME VERY FINE (I CALL THIS FAIRY DUST) & JUST TAKE A PINCH @ATIME & RELEASE ON DISC & ULL SOON KNOW WEN U CAN USE SIZE 2 WHICH IS CRUSHED SIMILAR TO LRG PIECES OF RICELASTLY THE 3RD SZ MOST REWARDING which can be upto u Id start w/pea size or larger depending on the temp of disc! This way it'll continue to burn slowly w/wonderful aroma (no burnt!!!) w/out setting off smoke alarms lol. To that end ull have a fine stream of thin smoke that burns as it shld!! Lasting upto an hr or more depending on SZ. Plus no WAISTING THE MAGICAL GIFT FRM ABOVE.HOPE HELPFUL HAPPY SUCCESSFUL RESIN BURNING ~*¿*~Ps it goes without saying use good sense & care wen using stove.

Good coal, could use safer packaging.
Very happy with these, but there were a few broken charcoals in a couple sleeve. The package was fully wrapped in plastic and not damaged, but it came shipped inside an envelope which likely subjected it to some pounding. As for the coals, they are being used for an Eastern Orthodox censer. They burn hotter than the larger coals so the incense burns faster; not a big problem though. The ignition is fast and easy and they don't let up billows of smoke like the larger coals. There were a couple duds, as in they just would not light, but, again, I think that is to be expected once in a while. For use in a censer, they are cup-shaped on the top which holds the incense nicely. But, once the coal is white hot, don't be rough with them or the "cup" will fall apart and the incense will slide off at first use. These may be 5-star worthy, if packaged a bit safer. The coal brand is good coal, overall, however.

Good Product, Great Price
I really appreciated how quickly it arrived!I've opened only one roll, but so far, no broken ones, and that's definitely a PLUS! I always read a few of the "most recent " reviews and several negative reviews. I couldn't disagree more with the negative ones. They arrived speedily, they catch [fire] very rapidly (I light mine on the stove pilot), and, for their size (33mm - I wish they sold bigger ones) they burned my frankincense and myrrh resin for at least 30+ minutes.

Quick to light, last for about 40 minutes, but ashes a lot
These coals can be quicky lit using a simple bic lighter. These coals have a chemical coating that help them to get started quickly. As such, they smoke a little bit when first lit as the coating burns away. That initial smoke has an acrid chemical-like scent to it, but it's gone within about 15-20 seconds. The coal is fully engulfed and red hot within about 4 minutes. They work well, and are odorless/tasteless when fully lit. The only major thing that I don't like about this brand is that they ash much more than any other coal that I have used. When the coal is done burning you are left with a pile of ash about as large as the coal initially was. Because of this, they can be a little messy during long sessions if there is a slight breeze. All in all, they aren't the best-of-the-best, but they are cheap and very easy to light. All said, I continue to keep a box of them around.
