However, if you look on Youtube, you can find a video that is 15 minutes long that explains how to program these with the software download URL. He wrote it for all the customers who are looking for a solution—he even states he was in the same boat.WHEN IT WORKS IT IS AWESOME :-) If you want a worry free experience then there are units three times this price that are more "legitimate". Look harder.Software is not intuitive. Designed for engineers, not regular users.WHAT IS REALLY COOL: You can program in and EMBED SEQUENCES AND MACCRO's to keys - so when you use it you DO NOT NEED MACRO EXPANSION SOFTWARE :-) :-) :-)There is software that works, and you will have to find and download it. The link in the product instructions is bad.OLD: If this keyboard had come pre-programmed to use with any regular macro expansion software it would get 5 stars - build quality is great. Instructions are incomprehensible. Key's all programmed to 'C' so you have to get their software. Overall very very very poor experience. Anti Virus software flags it. Bummer. Great build quality. Teach me to try and get value for money.

Product page talks about how easy it is to use but it doesn't come with the software to program it and the product page has a dead link. Even if the one drive link did work, that doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the quality of your product if you are unable to host a real website to download it from. Probably best to spend your money on something else

Just to throw it out there, I've had no problem what so ever in getting this guy up and running. I scanned through some of the other reviews and I'm actually a bit surprised in the responses. It needed no driver as the description said, my laptop found it in just a few seconds after plugging it in. Yes, it did seem that every key was tied to "C" but the unit had not been programmed yet --I.E. a "programmable keypad". I did have to look around a little bit for the software, but that was nothing more that going thorough some of the other Amazon listings for similar items and finding a usable link. I found it with a unit of 6-keys and 1-knob, that looked identical otherwise. Click click done. Now, as with any Chinese-y devices, the software was ugly and basic but worked just fine. It worked in a very similar way to any other prog-key app I have used. Even without any instructions (you rarely get any for this kind of thing) I got it figured out and my key/knob thingy set-up and running in maybe 5 minutes.On that note, its a great unit --Good clicks from the keys, good feel on the encoder (both rotate and click), its fairly heavy for something this small and the USB-C plug is nice and tight -no wiggles. I do with it had come with some stick-on rubber feet, but I'm sure I probably have some in a parts box somewhere.Yeah, its good. Two of the buttons were not attached when I open the box. The website definitely looked sketchy. I ended up returning them because it was not as described. I downloaded their software on the sketchy website, but it did not work or sync and I wasn’t trying to chase down the correct software, so I returned. It was a nice little thing if it worked though.

This device doesn't come with a program. In fact it says in the description you don't need one. That's a lie. You have to have one to program the buttons. Or else all the buttons and knobs just type the letter C. There is a program on one drive it lists but there is no file there anymore. Absolute waste.

The keyboard product is a trojan horse for the software that goes with it, which contains malware. Verified by two different virus checkers and run through malware detectors.

Software link is expired. Followed the suggestions to a trojan virus. Need the software. Looks cool. Feels nice.

Works fine once you find the key mapping software. Critical issue though, the device stops functioning after the computer wakes up from sleep or after a restart. You need to unplug and plug it back in for it to function again.
