Broke after 2 months of use
I was so looking forward to having an iron press for pressing shirts, pants and the silk draperies I made for my baby. I chose this press because it offered one of the largest iron areas in this price range. Sadly, this press was very disappointing. It did not have enough heating power to press linen. Cotton and linen clothes never looked crisp, just sort of de-wrinkled. The silk setting was also too weak for the silk draperies so I had to use the cotton setting instead. To add to my disappointment, this iron press stopped heating completely after two months. I have to take it to a repair center 90 miles away to have it diagnosed and repaired at my own expense because the warranty is only good for 90 days from the time of purchase and I am just several days outside of that window. This product performs poorly, has a faulty design (other reviewers seem to have exactly the same problem) and is very challenging to service. Needless to say, I will not buy this again and wish that I had not wasted my money.

The best hot board ever steam included!
When my small Singer press went out I replaced it with this one. It takes a little longer to heat up but its twice as big and can get my pants pressed with just a couple of presses. The steam feature is totally the bomb!

didn't last
I too LOVED this machine for the two months it worked. After two months it wouldn't heat anymore. The manufacturer was willing to repair but it would cost almost $100 to get it shipped to them DHL and another $35 they charge to ship it back. (saving the original box would have cut my cost to ship it to them by about $20). That would almost pay for a new one. I will look for a different brand this time.

DON'T BUY IT
I brought the Feiyue Yamata Family Press FP202L 1600 Watt 32" at $254.18 dollars, it worked for about 4 months very well then it stopped heating up, I called the manufacture (Family Press) numberous times & Unbeatable Sale Inc. and no one could help me. I kept on getting different excuses about the mechanics of the machine and how it was not under covered for that particular part, needless to say the manufacture was no help AT ALL.First of all I could not understand anyone I spoke too, they did not speak very good English, then they had me take the press completely apart to find a fuse that was not in the machine, then he told me or at least that is what I understood that the fuse was only guaranteed for 90 days and that most of the parts where only for 90 days, except the machine itself was guarenteed for 1 year (you figure that out), I know it didn't make any sense to me either. Then I was going to send it back to the manufacture only to find out they DON'T STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT IN ANY WAY, they say they do but DON'T, they wanted me to ship it to them which would have cost over $120.00 dollars and then I had to pay for shipping on the way back, I have been in business for over 30 years and never had a customer pay for shipping no less both ways.I can't put into words how fustrating this machine has been in the past month, trying to get it fixed by a local appliance men who won't even touch it or know nothing about the press. Family Press did make a suggestion to bring it to my nearest repair shop which was 1 full state away, I live in New Jersey and they wanted me to bring this piece of JUNK to New York City Or Penn., can you believe this, just when you think it can't get any worse it does.I have never wrote a review for any product before (good or bad) and I took the time for this one. I hope I can help anyone else to NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, look else where. I have had it in my van for over a month trying to figure out what I can do to get this piece of junk fixed.I have now given up and I have realized I throw $254.18 down the toilet. If anyone needs more information about this product you can get in touch with me, or if anyone can help me get my machine fixed properly or get my money back PLEASE HELP ME, I'm desperate.

Worst Press We Ever Owned...
We have owned 4 presses over the last 9 years. We have a family of 6 and create a lot of laundry. Our housekeeper is very picky and irons EVERYTHING...God love her! She loves to uses presses to speed up the process. Most of them poop out after about 2-3 years because of how much they are used.. This one was the WORST. After about 45 days, she heard a 'pop' and then the arm started sticking when in the 'down' position. It took all of her strength to lift it. Then, after another 30 days, it stopped heating. Absolutely no help from the retailer when we asked for a refund to purchase another brand. Told to contact the manufacturer which we were not interested in doing...the press was obviously junk and we wanted another brand. After reading all of these reviews, it is obvious contacting the manufacturer would have been futile.
