The listing says it keeps drinks hot, and in the same breath said that the cap is not intended for hot beverages. Why is that?

I would assume bc of the plastic the lid is made of. Maybe one of the different lids you can swap to is more suitable for hot liquids?

Can this be used without the chug cap?

I don’t think it’s worth the money- the yeti I purchased didn’t hold heat for longer than 2 hours- the top leaked steam- so I guess no would be my answer!
