Gift Safety!
I was shopping for a practical gift for my partner and had noticed that her knives were miss-matched, dull, and overall worn from use to the point of replacement. The hecef knives fit well in my and my partners hands, and are easy to use. The handles are a nice material for handling, and the blades are sharp enough to make cooking and preparing an easier affair. Pros: -Nice colored and feeling handles -Sharp and easy to use -Magnet is strong enough for the task Cons: -We've nowhere (yet) to mount the magnetic strip on the way -Harder to match the decor of other kitchen bits Need a knife? Use a knife; these work well and they're handsome.

Looks great and works great.
I love the look of this in my camper van. The knives stay put while driving down the road. Perfect!

Ideal knife holder
I needed a short magnetic knife holder that I could install inside my kitchen cupboard door. I could not install with screws since cupboard doors are too thin but was able to use extra strength double sided tape. It works perfectly and doesn’t clutter my kitchen and easy to get to with just opening the door. I also have metal measuring spoons so bought a second holder to install inside the opposite cupboard door to hang the spoons. Works perfectly, convenient and out of sight. The wood they are made out of is very nice and attractive but I didn’t want to install on my new tiles.

Great little knife holder, magnetism could be improved
I use this knife holder over by my bread/baking nook to hold my bench scraper, a spoon scoop, and a bread knife. It's a great size for this! My only complaint is the magnets are weird toward one edge. Sometimes the bench scraper just slides off the edge. Overall, great product!

Strong and stylish
We have this magnetic knife bar installed in our RV. It’s a great design choice and very useful as we have limited drawer space. The magnet is strong and holds the knives well.

Great for 4 to 5" knives.
PROS: Attractive knife holder made from a nice hard wood with a food safe lacquer on it in a convenient 6 inch size for small areas. CONS: Only satisfactorily holds shorter knives. Each time you pull the knife away it scratches the finish of the wood leaving hairline cuts in the wood; multiply that by knife removals per day and imagine the surface of this knife strip in a few weeks. Poorly designed mount on the back leaves the holder wiggly unless you use your own hardware. CONCLUSION: I bought this strip to accommodate 2 knives, a small serrated cutter and a bread knife. The small knife works great, however the bread knife just slides down the strip and just barely stops. I can foresee someone moving fast in the kitchen and slapping this on the strip only to have the knife be placed with more force than the magnets overcome thus allowing the long knife to fall; maybe a quick instinct to catch it might kick-in as well and I don't like the idea I'm left with. The rear mount on this strip seems unthought-out as well. You are provided screws with drywall anchors that will not do as good of a job as a wider diameter screw with a larger head on it. In my opinion a track that slides should be used. Half could be screwed to the wood and then the other half would be mounted on the area needing the holder. After mounting the track on the surface area you desire to have the strip, you simply slide the block onto the track and lock the strip so the strip no longer slides. Too fancy? Well, then provide the correct hardware. The holes could be far smaller for a 6 inch knife holder. EDIT 11-20-18: I couldn't use the block as designed (horizontally) due to the placement under the wood with cylindrical magnets down the center line, (long knives just don't stay) but didn't have cheaper options. Included mounting hardware was practically an afterthought so bought my own and played with arrangements until I got what you see in the pics. Manufacturer should redesign method of mounting, I want NO movement on a knife block if it is to retain sharp, stabby items in the kitchen. Also worth mentioning as predicted, the finish is coming away, you can tell the locations of where the knives stay. The block will require some maintenance to keep things sanitary just as with a cutting board.

Just what I needed
This is the perfect size for the spot I needed it. It holds my bread knife and chef knife perfectly. The strength is great, the knives have never slipped. I kind of give them a twist to pop them off, that’s how tight they are. The finish is nice, I like that it is wood rather than metal. A template for the screw placement would have been nice for those of us who are less than handy. Over all I couldn’t have been happier with my choice.
