This was actually super easy to work with! The only issue I ran into is that the connection on the camera to the usb c cable seems a little loose due to having a case on my phone. However, it worked just fine when I plugged it in via the cable. The handle and mount is a super nice touch too. I have never had the chance to try one of these and now I am happy to say I have :)I managed to switch the camera on and off, on top of the infrared camera, change the colors, see the temp / change the units and take video.The UI seems pretty straight forward in the sense that all settings that relate to each other are located right by each other.You'd be surprised at what you can see put off heat and if you do it right, you can find potential leaks in the walls (cool spots) where insulation isn't good or event if there may be water intrusion.I plan to use it for the previous mentioned purpose but also to see if my 3d printer bed is the correct temp.

The media could not be loaded.  OneUI 4.1.1, Android 12. I use the Android 10 version of the APK from their Google Play store listing. Using the inside screen some of the buttons are missing on the right side. All I had to do was switch the app to pop up window and I was able to click the buttons just fine.

I was REALLY excited for this. I build computers and my latest build has been having some overheating issues. I was hoping to use this to determine where the hottest spots were, so I could potentially solve the issue. The instructions weren't terribly difficult to understand, but when I went to download the app, I could never get it to work. I'd start it and it would tell me to plug the camera in. I could HEAR the mechanical parts working inside the camera. For instance, it sounded like the shutter would open and close. Yet the app the instructions told me to download would never actually register that it was connect. It just says "please open OTG and plug in hardware." What does that even mean? I tried to look up "OTG" in my settings. Nothing. I tried to un-install and re-install to no avail. I also tried this on 2 separate devices: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and a Samsung S21. Same issue with both phones. I can HEAR it getting power, but no actual luck when it came time to get the application to register that it was on. I tried MULTIPLE times. No luck. It's a real bummer to.

As advertised it will connect right to your phone. This is incorrect. I have an iPhone 13 and the camera will not connect and the attachments will not attach I have to get an adapter. The app this camera uses is all in a different language you have to just guess what it’s doing. I noticed the seller changed their listing to say Android Only after my purchase. I uploaded a picture of their manual which guides you to install the app on the iOS store, but the product is Android only?! Scam! I have not been able to get this product working on Android devices either. HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!

The app is simple and the settings are relatively easy to understand, even with the very limited documentation provided. It does occasionally lose the connection, but is generally stable. The imaging is good, with a focusable lens, and the scalable side-by-side imaging (using the mobile phone camera and infrared) helps to identify and pinpoint areas of interest. Accuracy of temperature readings is initially good, but it seems to offset, once it has been running for ten minutes or so, so it cannot be relied on for accurate temperature measurement. Nevertheless, it does produce clear images of hot and cold, which can be easily interpreted and may help to identify faults in electrical systems, areas of damp or animals in dark conditions.because the sensor reads only infrared, the subject does not require any illumination: it will produce the same image in daylight or total darkness.

The app has a 1 star rating in the Google app store. It apparently has issues using OTG on Android phones, and it requires specific OTG permissions. I followed the various solutions they suggested in the replies to the app complaints. Downloading a different file. Downloading drivers. Nothing worked. The app installs, but immediately closes - I can't even get it to run. There's four different Samsung phones in the family - all under $200. None of them work. It's obviously an OTG issue, but it looks like it's in the software, not hardware. I use other devices that require OTG, including external storage.

This seems to have a custom video output which makes it a special format for using on Linux or windows.Mount and bracket pretty well made and good for phone based thermal viewing.
