Best tasting gluten-free cookies, ever!
After many disappointing experiences buying gluten free foods, I took a chance on ordering cookies from Simple Mills. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! These cookies are delicious! These remind me of Oreo cookies, only better. The chocolate cookie is a rich dark chocolate with a pleasing crunch. The cream filling is tasty and provides a lovely balance to the cookie.I don’t write that many reviews but I ran across a few extremely negative reviews of these cookies and I thought I needed to help clear up their apparent confusion:These cookies are made with cashews but they don’t taste like cashews. Those of us who are dairy free are aware that cashews (& other ingredients) are often used to provide a creamy texture. They are a healthier replacement for dairy than hydrogenated oils, for example. While the overall taste and texture is pleasing, don’t expect it to taste like nuts. This brand uses a mixture of gluten free flours in their cookies like watermelon seeds and nuts. Just because nuts or seeds are used, don’t assume the cookies will necessarily taste like nuts. Want to taste a cashew, eat an cashew. Want delicious gluten-free cookies? Try these ones from Simple Mills. Are these cookies expensive? Compared to mainstream cookies with gluten, dairy, soy, and other allergens I need to avoid, yes they are. The prices on Amazon seem to vary a lot and the package size is much smaller than non-gluten free cookies. The ingredients they use are also more expensive than mainstream brands. That’s to be expected. I do closely watch the pricing of the cookies and don’t buy them if the price is temporarily too high. However, gluten-free cookies always cost more than regular cookies. In summary, these are great cookies if you need to avoid gluten, dairy, and soy but don’t want to sacrifice flavor. I’ve also enjoyed their chocolate chip, chocolate thins, and pecan cookies but these are still my favorite. Yum!

Tasty roasted PB flavor.
Truthfully, I don't know how they are able to fit good peanut butter flavor that for me is the right amount of sweetness (as a person with a true sweet tooth), into an albeit little cookie and still be so satisfying. Simple ingredients. Relatively low calories if you stick to the serving size. About the size of an Oreo. Maybe not quite as much cream, but flavorful. Perhaps a bit crispy of a cookie, so works well with plant milk for me. The coconut sugar is a deeper flavor similar to a roasted peanut butter sort of vibe. Depends on what you're looking for, but I needed a healthier option and smaller portions than what I normally go for. Have not tried the other cookie flavors yet. Hope the price remains reasonable. My only problem is now I want to overeat them. Who am I kidding? Probably going to subscribe.

Eh
Bought these for my son to eliminate some gluten as he loves crackers, cookies, ect. The creme is good but the cookie is gritty. Probably not good for kid palates.

Disappointing taste.
Did not taste good. I have eaten other recipes from this company and they were great tasting. But this recipe fell short of the mark.

Great!
These are a wonderful sweet treat for our family with the different allergies. Gluten free, egg free and peanut free. Fresh every package. Quality ingredients. Will buy again and again.

Yummy!
They are expensive, even when on sale, but these are my favorite. They are a high-quality, gluten-free alternative to that popular chocolate sandwich cookie with the sweet creme filling. It is hard to limit myself to the 2-cookie serving size!

Do people really like these???
So the good thing about these cookies is that they are made with ingredients that are easily recognizable and seem to be healthier. No weird chemicals. Also, they're vegan and gluten free, while being sweetened with coconut sugar. Overall, you can't expect something like that to taste as good as or better than regular sandwich cookies. I get it. I have tried Simple Mills Sweet Thins and they were pretty good. These are pretty bad. I will say that they were fresh with a nice crispy cookie. The taste was, to me and my family, awful. However, I suppose taste is subjective. The cookies also didn't make anyone vomit, so overall, I would give it two stars. My husband and I both tried one at the same time. Just as I was about to say, "I don't like them. They taste like hay.", my husband made a face and said, "Ugh. It tastes like an alfalfa pellet." He and I have both grown up around farm animals, so we both admittedly know what hay tastes like. Our kids didn't like these cookies either. We ended up throwing out the whole expensive package. I don't know if we got a bad batch or something because the majority of people are raving about them in the reviews and giving them five stars, or maybe those people like the taste of hay (no judgement). We don't normally eat vegan food either, so maybe this is an acquired taste sort of thing? I don't know, but what I do know is that we won't be getting these cookies again.

A Decent Healthy Treat
The taste of these Simple Mills Cocoa Cashew Crème cookies was fine, and you can definitely tell they're a healthier option. The price point was good for what you get. I also appreciate their clean ingredients. Personally, I still prefer Simple Mills crackers the best, but these are a decent choice for a healthier cookie, and I would purchase them again, especially to use in a Ninja Creami.
