No, we have changed tires out in the open and had never have that happen.

Will other 1/2" impact sockets work with this model?

Of Course! I used other impact and non-impact sockets with mine with no issues.

Does the 1600N.m come with sockets? Because in the description I can only see that for the 800N.m
