Lightweight easy to empty
Just bought my third one for my RV. I am very happy about how lightweight and easy this is to use. It works well on multiple surfaces, holds a charge and empties easily. My 8 year old grandson likes to use it to help clean up crumbs. The tool to remove strings is helpful, don’t loose it.

Cleans good, but watch out for pet hair
SEE BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES!!! I like peanuts in the shell, I keep a bag in my bedroom. However when breaking open the shell, the crumbs fly all over. I used the huge Hoover Pet Hair vacuum last time, but this is just a small area, and believe me, pushing that Hoover around is like pushing a 1976 Buick Electra 225 up a hill! I was going to get one of those sweepers that turn the brush only if you keep it moving, but when I saw this was on a a reduced price, and with a small motor I was sold. So glad I went with this over the manual sweeper. The area I need to vacuum is very small, and is plush carpeting. This did a great job, and it was half dead when I used it, I ran it down to zero power. The carpet is clean enough now of all those messy shells, and it even picked up some dog hair as well ( for those that don't know the dog hair is really called Pomeranian Glitter!) I will be doing the finishing sweeping when it gets to a full charge, but from what I have seen of this Black and Decker mini sweeper, I am very happy and impressed. The edge brishes work good as well. If you are looking at one of those sweepers that depend on the wheels to drive the brush, DON'T! Just put a little more to it and get the battery powered unit, you will be glad you did! Will update if any thing changes. Oh, and it has a limited 2 year warranty. Thanks. Kem. 4/8/24Update: May, 13. The sweeper on carpet tends to stop running when pushed forward, unless I am very slow and apply no downward pressure on the main brush. It nosedives into the carpet, and when that happens, the motor stops running. What I did to correct this was add a little bit of lift to the front suspension "bumps" on the bottom, that would give the brush enough lift. Only about an 1/8", but it seems to stop it from shutting down on forward thrusts. Hot glue gun helps with this problem.Update June 29. BEWARE OF DOG HAIR BINDING UP THE BRUSHES.Dog hair will get into the end of the brush bushings, and this will bind up the brushes to the point that the brushes will barely turn. It's about impossible to remove all the hair without taking the sweeper apart. But once cleaned up, it works like new again!!

Great product, but beware
I have bought 3 of these sweepers in the last 9 months. Why - because they broke, but they are also very, very useful.I use it daily to spot sweep a 35,000 sq feet office building. It is extremely lightweight and with the side brushes make sweeping the corners and along walls very easy. The battery lasts a long time and makes it very convenient as opposed to the weight of a battery backpack vacuum, or having to find plugs and manage extension cords.Easily the best concept in a sweeper I have found to date and much more useful and cost effective than the much heavier backpack vacuums. The downside to all this is the fragility of them. They break down. The gearing system is not well constructed (all plastic): the bushings and gear spindles are not firmly attached and once they slip out of the casing it is very hard to reset them. I have repaired them (not easy), but once it happens the repairs do not last long (wear on the plastic gear teeth also contributes.)The upshot of this review is just beware - a great concept and priced product, but not at all designed for heavy use.Be very careful to not catch lose carpet threads or cords in it. The motor will stop if you do, but sometimes the gears get stripped before it does. Also - make sure after use, you clean the hair and strings off the rotor brushes (a great tool is provided with the sweeper to do this). They will get into the bushings and clog them up before too long.Again - I love the product and obviously continue to use it despite the flaws.

Best floor sweeper ever
Best floor sweeper ever. Easy to use, a good easy grip had a good height, quiet and picks up everything. Works as good as a vacuum without the suction. It is easy to maneuver and easy to dump The catchbox. This is one of the best floor sweepers I have ever used. I swear by this thing. It was a great purchase and worth the money.

Started having issues about 6 months in
I waited a few months before reviewing to see how well this held up. At first, I would have given this 5 stars. It worked so well when I just needed a quick sweeping, especially for cat litter. The charge lasted a long time and it was very sturdy. Sometimes I needed to go over one spot a few times to make sure it picked everything up, but that didn't bother me much. It's about as annoying as getting that last longer of dust with a broom and dustpan, so nothing too troublesome. However, now that it's been about 6 months or so, it cuts itself off during use, even when fully charged. I have to press the start button a few times to keep it going. It also tends to blow dust bunnies away instead of picking them up. In some cases, it picks up debris just to spit out back out.If you're getting this for extremely light usage, sure it's fine. I wouldn't recommend it for longevity though.

It'
This won't take the place of your regular vacuum but it's great for a quick cleanup, especially kitchen crumbs. It's amazing how much it does pick up. Purchased it for my very low pile rugs. Regular vacuum doesn't work on those types of rugs. Lightweight and holds a charge. Liked it so much bought 1 for my sister and she loves it. I recommend buying it. Price was great too.
