Exactly what I was looking for. This trichromatic cube is on the smaller side, but still demonstrated light refraction of different colors of light as you rotate the cube. My students were mesmerized. It was absolutely worth the cost. Now I want a 2nd one to show the secondary light refraction!

This thing is way more beautiful than it shows in the pics! Do not expect a traditional pure prism, this is not that. Each facet has filters that filter out and reflect a specific wavelength/color of light. Sometimes you can witness TIR or Total Internal Reflection too if you have the angle right, which is super cool to me as an optics nerd (Schmidt-Pechan vs Abbe Koenig prisms in binoculars, telescopes, etc) Its just a really pretty trinket, but not a traditional "rainbow" prism so dont expect that. I would buy again, I got the 25mm cube, thinking about getting the polyhedron now. It is so beautiful in sunlight and fun to play with different colors of lasers. But be careful in sunlight or with lasers! Wear eye protection! Some reflections can catch you off guard and are not necessarily what you would expect! Be careful. But its beautiful and packaged nicely. Only room for improvement would be if it came in a small velvet/microfiber sack or with a cloth to keep fingerprints off. Or a 3 pronged stand on which to hold it up, off centered. So cool to watch it in the light and turn it and see from different angles.

I love these objects that manipulate light waves into many colors both from a scientific view and for just the magical wonder that it elicits. It is cheery to have these on my desk.

Fairly nice but it doesn't do as much as I hoped. If you get it in sunshine it does ok.

This hangs in a window that receives bright light in the afternoon. The pretty colors and lights that reflect in the room are fascinating to my two kitties. Sometimes I twirl it for them creating an exciting lightshow. Watching them playing with the lights entertains me too : ) : ) : )

The plush packaging led to disappointing content. Quite small, with vari@bly colored sides, not a clear refractive prism as I expected. Now it’s just sitting in a drawer.

Others like this just have a membrane on the faces which peel off overtime. This one it's actually the coloring of the glass/is atomically formed to the surface?

Given as gift, my grandson is really happy with the clarity and response of the refraction. Great quality and price, quick delivery.

Looks much more attractive in the picture.. in fact, very primitive and simplistic.

These are beautiful on a windowsill and throw colours all around the room🌈

X-Cubes are far more charming than, say, simpler CMY cubes, being dichroicly coated on 4 of the 6 exterior faces and having relective/refractive surfaces internally (each cube is in effect 4 prisms glued together.) The fact that these ones are glass rather than acrylic or other plastic means brighter colours and greater resistance to scratching. Very Nice. WARNING: I bought one each of sizes 20mm, 25mm and 35mm, each as described above. Delivery from hdcrystalgifts was swift. Then I ordered several of their 15mm cubes and waited a while for these to come from China. On examining them I found only 2 dichroic faces and no internal X surfaces. Yes they were cheap, but also not as nice, IMHO.

That one was for me 😃 I couldn't resist the colour plays inside this mini cube and the different shapes when the light refracts through it. Very cute.
