Q: Are they shiny or matte?

Our bowls have a shiny glaze on the colored part, however our brown glaze seen at the bottom of our bowls have a matte finish.

Q: Your description says "ceramic" then it changes to "porcelain." So which is it? One gets hot in the microwave and the other does not

Thank you for reaching out to us, our top secret paladin clay is heat resistant, but may get hot in the microwave due to heat transfer from the food.
