I like this drill but wonder about its history
I like the drill and it appears to function properly. I do note that it came in a box that had been opened and a flap removed. Cushioning was minimal, so the drill flopped around inside the outer box but no damage was apparent. Seller was TYH, but AMZ fulfilled the order. There was no warranty information included. Is there any reason a consumer should not expect to receive this drill in a sealed box? If so, please let me know. Mine does not appear to be the only such incidence.

perfect drill for work
I’ve been using this DEWALT 20V drill for a while now, and honestly, it’s been a great tool to have around.Durability: Feels tough and well-built. I’ve dropped it a couple of times and it’s still going strong.Functionality: Plenty of power for most home projects. It drills and drives screws smoothly.Ease of Use: Very easy to handle. It’s not too heavy, and the controls are straightforward.Comfort: The grip is comfortable, even when using it for a longer job. Doesn’t strain the hand.Quality: Overall build feels solid. Nothing feels cheap or flimsy.Possible Issues: The chuck can get a bit loose if you're pushing it hard, but tightening it usually solves the problem.

Dewalt Quality
Haven’t used it much yet but it is a typically good Dewalt. The smaller size is great. Not any louder than any other drill. Great torque, a little heavy with the 4 amp battery but that is expected. I don’t need a hammer drill but the price was right & it gives me the feature if I ever need it.

Nice drill but be careful
Nice drill but be careful, this thing has a lot of torque and can be hard to hold if a drill bit sticks.

Great Tool
What a great tool. I have jumped from 18 volt to 20 volt and what a difference. Smaller foot print with more power! I would tell everyone that when it comes to making the jump to upgrade you won't be disappointed. I expect to get many years of use out of this tool. Solidly made!

Good hammer drill. Needs a way to attach a side handle
I bought this for a small project that I would need to put in several concrete anchors for a fireplace surround. Regular drills just won't cut the mustard for drilling concrete. The drill, like most Dewalt stuff is well built and feels sturdy in your hand. It drills concrete anchors of up to about 3/8 of an inch with no problem but most decidedly needs a side handle attachment for the torque required for larger holes.Doing some research I found there is no side handle attachment that can be added, either OEM or aftermarket as there is no good place to attach one, even those that have the metal band that tightens down.Overall its a good unit for the average guy who needs that extra power to drill concrete or cc blocks but if you need to drill bigger holes or were going to use it all day for work I' say jump up to the bigger unit with the side handle. It costs a bunch more but would be worth it as a contractor.Battery life seems pretty good with my existing dewalt batteries but I found the 5ah battery had more power and lasted much longer than the standard 2ah battery. I have actually found myself using this in place of my drill driver for most applications as it just has more oomph.

Great drill!
Great drill. It was a nice upgrade to my other Dewalt drills. The light is helpful. The RPM increase is very noticeable. Drills like butter. The more compact size is also nice for tighter spaces. It also feels more balanced in the hand.
