Bought this to provide power to a growing number of PoE access points along with upgrading our home network "core" to 2.5Gbe. Had planned on adding a new Unifi 2.5Gbe switch but they weren't available when we needed it and this looks like it offered a great alternative. Incredible value for money and solid build quality. Have this running 4 Unifi access points and another Unifi switch all over PoE; fast reliable connectivity along with fibre uplinks to our gateway firewall using one of the 10Gbe SPF+ connections. Easily expandable with additional switches using SPF+ for 10Gbe uplinks so plenty of bandwidth to use for most settings. Really impressed by it and will happily buy another one when we need the ports. Compared to other services such as Unifi Network Cloud the Nebula cloud seems to be lacking in features - especially as an additional subscription seems to be needed to unlock most useful things. Bit disappointing coming from Unifi, but there's enough in the basic free version to check what's connected and monitor switch performance.

For an amateur like myself setting this up in a house we are renovating was a doddle. The app is excellent too and really helps with the initial installation. I bought this along with three wireless access points and managed to get it all set up and working within half an hour including time for updates.

This is a great device offering plenty of functionality and features. I’m using PoE and 10gb and it’s straightforward to install and use.

Use this to power my VOIP phone and PoE Raspberry Pi cameras (which use PoE hats). Lots of bells & whistles for just a little more than an unmanaged switch. Cost/feature ratio makes this a really good value. For my day job, I'm a certified network engineer. By disabling & re-enabling ports, you can reboot connected devices

Dieser Switch ist fast baugleich mit dem NETGEAR GS110TP, welcher bei mir schon seit Jahren leise dahin arbeitet. Die Anschlüsse sind faktisch identisch. Lediglich in den Abmessungen ist der Zyxel deutlich kleiner. Das WebGUI ist, wenn man jahrelang Netgear gewohnt ist, eine Umgewöhnung. Doch grafische Oberflächen sind sehr persönlich zu bewerten, was das Aussehen betrifft. Objektiv ist auch in Zyxels WebGUI alles drin, was drin zu sein hat und nach einiger Eingewöhnung findet man sich gut zurecht. Ich will gar nicht weiter auf technische Aspekte eines Vergleichs hinaus. Der Switch ist grundsätzlich ein gutes Netzwerkgerät. Habe ich ihn behalten? NEIN! Grund: das Netzteil ist extrem laut und störend. Ein sehr unangenehmer Pfiepton drängt sich sogar durch den Netzwerkschrank in den Raum hinein. Da dieser gerade nur einen Raum neben meinem Bett steht, ist das Gerät keine Option für mich. Ich weiß nicht, ob ich ein Montagsgerät erwischt habe, oder ob es die gesamte Serie betrifft, doch ich habe den Switch so leider zurückgeschickt und mir dann doch wieder einen teureren Netgear gekauft (den höre ich wie erwartet nicht). Fazit: das Billignetzteil passt so gar nicht zum recht wertig verarbeiteten Switch. Schade!

It's hard to beat the value here. I haven't found any other gigabit managed switches with PoE anywhere near this price range that are worth owning, but this one is. It does work very well, and it's very reliable. The one complaint I have is that the VLAN setup wizard doesn't really do a complete job of configuring the VLAN capability -- it does set VLAN membership, but it doesn't set the VPID so you pretty much still have to go into the manual configuration pages to complete VLAN setup. It wouldn't be hard to set the VPID automatically, either -- just assume that when a port is added to a VLAN as Untagged that that VLAN should be used for the VPID. Build quality is excellent. It's all metal, and quite stout at that. All of the SFPs I've tried have worked flawlessly. PoE has worked exactly as it is supposed to. The one of these I've had for almost 2 years has never had to be rebooted. The only issue is the user interface. It's a little odd. There's one navigation tree for viewing the configuration, and an entirely separate tree for modifying the configuration, and it's easy to find yourself in the wrong one. It would be easier to use if there was a single navigation tree. But overall, this is a great product. It's highly recommended.
